As we reach the end of our Motivational Guard’s thoughts for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, we hope that he’s helped to start your day with a smile and a little boost.
Please remember that looking after your mental health doesn’t stop after this week. We all go through tough times, and people help us through them. Other times we worry about other people’s mental health.
Whether they are a friend, family member or colleague, there are many ways to support somebody you care about.

Here’s Thursday’s thought for #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek from David, our Motivational Guard.
If you’re worried about your own mental health, there are many organisations that exist to help you and are available to talk to you 24/7.
The railway industry has worked closely with @samaritans for many years and they are always there to offer emotional support 24 hours a day - in full confidence.
Here’s David, our Motivational Guard, with today’s thought.
Did you know that one of the most important things we can do to help protect our mental health is regular movement? Our bodies and our minds are connected. Looking after ourselves physically also helps us prevent problems with our mental health.
Moving more can increase your energy, reduce stress and anxiety, and boost your self-esteem.
#MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
Here’s today’s thought for Mental Health Awareness Week from David, SWR's Motivational Guard.
Mental Health Awareness Week aims to tackle stigma and help people understand and prioritise their and others' mental health.
So, why not take a moment today to think about yourself as well as your friends, family and colleagues?
We’re proud to be supporting Mental Health Awareness Week – 13 to 19 May.
Join in and help to create a world with good mental health for all.
During the week David Smith (SWR’s Motivational Guard) is hoping to help you start your working week with a smile by sharing some positive thoughts with you.

Our Managing Director, Claire Mann, and our Head of Corporate Affairs, Mark Lever, provide an update on how the ongoing industrial action is impacting SWR and set out why we are running a reduced service on the network. We are very sorry for the disruption this industrial action is causing our customers, particularly at such a busy time of year.
