Starting up The Dream you Wish in 2017 was a revamp of our previous company Land of Make Believe when we developed a format based on creating memories. My own background comes from being a prop and costume maker for a specialist company, creating displays for west end stores. I have been lucky enough to be donated fabrics that have special memories and the above mermaid costume holds many stories. The mermaid tail was made from fabric used to create a 5 headed dragon for Liberty's windows Russian Fairy Tales. The satin lining and green organza were used to create Holly Fairy windows for Debenhams Oxford Street. The bodice was from fabric used in a Harrods window display. This is why I love making that extra effort into what we do so that I can continue to create magic for our young audience. All polished off with our wonderful entertainers 😍🌟🙏❤️

Had a fun day out yesterday at Madam Tussauds. Haven't been since I was at college. 🤩

Looking back at some of the fun parties we helped to create last year time seems to have flown by. Looking forward to some warmer weather and a fun new year. We have some new talented individuals joining our team straight from the world of stage and screen which we are very excited about. I am also excited to be adding to my own skills by embarking on an advanced course in Theatrical make up and special effects. Looking forwards to an exciting new year 🙏🥰❤️☀️

One of our very first larger parties was quite an epic event and was the main theme for many of our children's parties that followed. Pirates and fairies always hold that special magic. Lots of stories and interaction. So many ideas for fun games to keep your little ones hoisting the main sail and swabbing the decks. Not forgetting our famous treasure hunt complete with treasure map. It's also an easy dress up for kids and parents included. Cut up some old trousers and add a bandana and eye patch for that ship-wrecked character. Cutty Sark shop here in Greenwich have some fun dress up props also. We were excited to see the trailer for the new real life version of this lovely classic tale and hope it inspires a new generation . As a child I remember reading Grimms Fairy Tales which were quite dark. At Xmas we sat down as a family to watch the animated version on TV. I was always scared of the wicked queen. This was Walt Disney's very first full length animated movie and each segment was hand painted. With today's re-mastered versions we like to create our themes based on the new and original versions.
