This was our little wilderness home in Finnish Lapland. Warm and very comfortable. There are a variety of rooms including glass covered luxury accommodation (sells out very fast)

Night riding - snowmobile safari - so much fun driving into the black of night!
The temperature dropped to minus 11 plus wind chill so we were well wrapped up 🥶 Headed out to a dark sky area but a fair bit of cloud about so not much sign of the Northern Lights tonight. Still a wonderful experience and spectacular scenery

Lapland ❄️ here we are!!
Long hop to Gatwick and spectacular flight over Northern Europe to the 3 borders where Sweden Norway and Finland meet.

It’s an amazing little airport and great to land on a snow covered runway. Check out the minuscule departures entrance in pictures below and our little home for the next few days.

This little village in Norway has a great snow record, beginner-friendly slopes and lots of winter activities.

❄️Excellent ski school and gentle terrain that’s easy to navigate.

❄️After skiing, zoom down the slopes on an inflatable airboard or raft boat.

⛷️Just starting your ski adventure? Well for great snow and beginner runs – plus winter wonderland vibes – look no further than Beitostølen. This small ski area has 21km of slopes that are perfect for learning on, especially with the help of the English-speaking ski school instructors. And after your lessons, you can practise on your own by looping the quiet greens and blues – they all lead back to the resort centre, so there’ll be no worries about finding your way around.

Winter activities are also a major draw here. On top of classics like snowshoe walking, you can try your hand at ice fishing or race down the slopes on a snow raft, the mountain version of white water rafting. Then when it's time for some R&R, mosey over to the Ridder Badet spa for a swim and a sauna.
