As 2024 draws to a close, Ian, Arthur and I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the wonderful guests who have stayed with us at Cedar Lodge this year.

Between Christmas and New Year, we managed to carve out a weekend for ourselves to relax and unwind. We absolutely love the space here and Arthur is as chilled as ever!

We also finally got round to completing the 4-mile circular route that passes the famous long drop, which is said to be the highest perched toilet in England 🤭.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year, filled with joy, health and plenty of adventures.

🍁🍂✨ Updates for Cedar Lodge! ✨🍂🍁

We’ve finally taken pictures of our recently added new bed frames. We are loving the solid chunky wood. ❤️

For relaxing in the evenings, we’ve added some warm blankets for the sofas to keep you snug during your stay.

The skies were so clear last night. We really must book a 1-1 session with Stonehaugh Astronomy who always take amazing pictures! For now, here is our attempt and a picture of the lil cutie that visited us in the garden 🦔🦔

We love reviews and messages like this because we understand first hand the frustration when staying in some places that claim to be dog friendly 🙄

Cedar Lodge is truly dog friendly 🐾. There are no restrictions on breeds, no restrictions on where they can or cannot go and no costs.

Sometimes, a little peace and quiet is exactly what is needed.
Ian and I, along with Arthur of course, managed to mix business with pleasure by booking ourselves in for 3 nights 😊

We’re excited to say that our custom beds were delivered and built and they look fabulous. ❤️ Typically, I didn’t get photos but will update soon. Cedar lodge now sleeps 6. 1 twin room, 1 double and 1 small double.

Bird watching was on the cards and when exploring we were greeted by a grumpy looking toad!

We hope everyone is enjoying their summer holidays and if you have room for some peace and quiet, we do have some August availability left ❤️

❤️It was so nice reading our first review today ❤️ Hats off to Stonehaugh Social club for the mention-I heard the quiz night was a huge success ☺️

The birds were certainly hungry this morning and had a feast to munch on. Despite the rain, they were out in full force. We even spotted the woodpecker!

We're Charleen and Ian, accompanied by our beloved fur baby, Arthur 🐾. It's with great joy that we announce ourselves as the new proud owners of Cedar Lodge ❤️.

Rest assured, we're diligently working with Elle to ensure all bookings are honored and securely managed.

Just like many before us, we instantly fell in love with the cabin and its serene surroundings. There's something magical about watching the feisty Robin and other birds flutter around.
