Our lovely guests, stopping in the cottage this weekend, got an unexpected treat and some spectacular photos! There is usually a surprise stopping here in the cottage - last week our guests had a hare join them for breakfast in the garden 🐇

It’s Shrovetide!!!
Ashbourne is boarded up ready, the flags are up and the beer shipped in. With goal posts 3 miles apart, hundreds of players and thousands of spectators it’s going to a cracking two days.
Take care everyone, park carefully and keep the person stood next to you safe x

Belper is in bloom - thanks to their fabulous gardeners! 😊 A former winner of ‘Britain’s Best High Street’ and only a fifteen minute drive from the cottage. They hold great events through the year too, including their food festival and farmers markets. With loads of fabulous places to eat and drink make sure Belper is on your itinerary during your stay 😃
