Go behind the scenes of a high-stakes rhino translocation with our short film, shot as part of a thought leadership event we put together for our private client.
Facing threats from poaching, trophy hunting and deadly infighting, protecting this keystone species also conserves their environment and surrounding wildlife. And, now severely endangered, it’s vital conservation projects like these that ensure their survival.
In this short documentary co-produced by Coldhouse Collective, enjoy an insider’s look as you follow the conservancy’s conservation manager and the Kenya Wildlife Service in navigating this challenging and crucial endeavour.

Yes, the phrase “private islands” conjures up something of a fantasy, but they come with some very tangible benefits. They offer the chance to disconnect from the world in ultimate privacy and spend time with those that are important to you, whether that’s a multi-generational family, a thought leadership event or an epic celebration with friends.
Featured are a few of our favourites:
Seychelles: We can bring you beyond this Indian Ocean jewel’s white-sand good looks to its remote outliers, where conservation is at the core. Dive with graceful manta rays and walk with giant Aldabra tortoises before enjoying indulgent dining setups on secluded sandbars.
French Polynesia: Alongside idyllic beaches and the chance to swim with humpbacks, we know an exclusive-use island custom built for billionaire’s fun. Flung out into the middle of the South Pacific, enjoy water sports with world champions, party in large-scale art installations hidden in the jungle and even test out a recording studio that’s hosted more than a few big names.
Philippines: For something altogether more designerly, the clean lines of this private island are beautifully contrasted by the rich tropical landscapes of the Palawan archipelago. After exploring twisting mangroves by SUP and a marine sanctuary home to dugongs and rays, return to superlative service from staff that have worked across the world’s finest hotels.

Iceland’s terrain is characterised by its raw beauty, stark contrasts, and dramatic natural features, making it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. Whether cycling through lava fields, exploring geothermal features by foot or paddleboarding with humpbacks, we’ll showcase it all at its stunning best. Of course, the best way to appreciate the sheer scale of it all is from the air, soaring above thundering waterfalls by heli before returning to the comfort of your yacht or private lodge.

Our recent collaboration with New York’s esteemed @the_explorers_club, brought forth an unforgettable evening.
Our founder and Explorer’s Club member, @henrycookson_, took to the stage in front of a sold-out audience alongside Ted Janulis, President of the Explorers Club to discuss Cookson Adventures and share his passion for conservation with members of the club.
He also premiered our thought-provoking film “Keystone: How to Move a Rhino”. Shot on one of our trips, it’s an insider’s look into the world of rhino translocations and how private travel can facilitate these ground-breaking conservation projects.
Hosted by five of our team members, the evening concluded with a private dinner, providing an intimate setting for like-minded enthusiasts to connect.

In 2024, one of our favourite expedition yachts will be embarking on a round-the-world tour.
At this year’s Antigua Yacht Show, we were invited on board MY SuRi by @yachtzoo.official to give an insight into some of the spectacular adventures we’ve organised for guests in partnership with her captain and crew. Looking ahead, we shared how our highly-skilled team can design bespoke land based itineraries in the remote destinations she will be exploring over the next few years from the Azores to Norway.

We recently took Alice B-B on a wellness immersion to the Great Bear Rainforest in British Columbia, alongside some world-leading experts in longevity and breath work, who designed the experiences around the spectacular wildlife and cinematic landscapes.
She wrote about her stealth-health experience in the December issue of The Times Luxx:
“Cookson is smart. Instead of a retreat feeling like hair-shirt punishment, it becomes a journey full of wonder and fun. But then Henry Cookson understands the power of nature to create a positive association for those mulishly obstinate family members. He knows not all hard-grafting, fast-living types want to spend ten days feeling like a patient in a sterile medical wellness facility. So he takes the mountain to Muhammad. And it works.”

Safety and risk management are paramount on each and every one of our adventures. Here, we chat to one of our senior team, Will, about our pre-trip procedures for submersible diving — testing both sub and ROV alongside training all crew onboard.

We chatted to Senior Concept Designer, Will, in French Polynesia earlier this year, on the heli deck of MY SuRi in between pre-dive safety checks. He explained how combining submersibles and superyachts allows us to your adventure further, discovering the undiscovered and encountering marine life from a new angle.

We’ve organised superyacht trips where few – if any – have been before. Using the latest technology on submersible dives to map the seabed has helped us identify incredible new dive sites that have never been explored before.
Through mapping in some of the world’s most remote destinations we’ve also been able to contribute vital new data to scientists, governments and global projects in the attempt to create a definitive map of the entire ocean floor by 2023, and make the information available to all.
On a recent trip to Cocos Island off Costa Rica, we provided new data for university research programmes. We’ve also successfully mapped wrecks in Fiji and shared our findings with the local tribal chiefs who plan to use the resulting map it in their upcoming petition to protect their waters and habitat.
