Epic moments, world-class entertainment – that's what we do best.

In Scotland, we’ve privatised prestigious whisky distilleries where traditional pipe bands soundtracked expert-led tastings. In Morocco, we’ve brought in traditional musicians to set the mood at our guests’ luxury desert camp. And, we’ve hosted epic parties and themed dinners in both the heart of the African bush and the sun-drenched islands of the Caribbean – where guests enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime private performance from Kool and the Gang.

With our experienced team and global network of experts, we ensure that every facet of your journey operates smoothly, all while keeping you thoroughly entertained.

Gabon, tucked away on Africa’s equatorial Atlantic coast, hides some of the planet’s last wildernesses.

In this post, we look at its vibrant land and interior from one of our recent trips, encountering wild gorillas in their natural habitat and being whisked by fixed-wings and helis over untouched mangrove systems. Days end at private lodges and bespoke camps, set up just for you.

Then, ATVs, jungle treks and time with leading conservationists brings you right among the country’s rich flora and fauna – much of which have only been seen by a privileged few.

This is a remote journey into one of Africa’s most pristine environments, far from the crowds, in a country where eco-sensitive tourism can become a national priority.

We’re proud to share that our short documentary, 'Keystone: How to Move a Rhino' was featured in the "Wildlife Session" at Kendal Mountain Festival – presented by its director, Matt Pycroft.

Shot as part of a thought-leadership retreat we organised for our private client, it tells the story of an ambitious conservation mission to relocate 14 critically endangered rhinos to safety.

Co-produced by Cookson Adventures and Coldhouse Collective, ‘Keystone’ takes viewers behind the scenes of this complex, high-stakes operation – capturing the challenges, setbacks, and triumphs of a race against time. But this mission was about more than just protection. It’s about creating breeding opportunities, preserving vital ecosystems, and ensuring the long-term survival of a species under threat of extinction.

We’re honoured to have our film selected, and hope it inspires continued action for conservation efforts worldwide as it tours the festival circuit over the next year.

From navigating rugged terrain in an eight-weel Argocat or gliding above ancient wonders in a paramotor, here are some of the most unique ways we’ve experienced the world:

Gyrocopters – Soar over the white-sand coast of Socotra, Yemen’s Indian-Ocean answer to the Galápagos.

Quads – Quad bike along Portugal’s dramatic coastline, carving through golden beaches and cliffside trails to discover historic churches.

Paramotor – Soar above the legendary Pyramids of Giza by paramotor for a breathtaking perspective, followed by a private tour of Egypt’s ancient tombs, free from the crowds.

Dogsledding – Glide through snowy landscapes on a thrilling husky-led adventure, following in the tracks of explorers past.

Rage buggies – Race across Morocco’s endless dunes, combining adrenaline-fueled fun with desert vistas.

Argocat – Journey deep into Scotland’s wildest corners aboard an eight-wheeled Argo Cat, discovering ancient forests and hidden lochs.

ATVs – Journey along Baja California’s beach-studded coast to arrive at historic settlements.

Formula Offroad – Try your hand at Iceland’s unique sport, where supercharged offroaders are thrown at vertiginous slopes.

Camels – Immerse yourself in Socotri culture, taking a camel trek into its hinterlands where dragon blood trees sit alongside waiting vultures.

Moped – Do as the locals do in Southeast Asia. We can curate secret routes that fly over rice fields on stilted bridges.

Which one would you try?

We believe strongly in meaningful and conscientious wildlife encounters.

That could be releasing turtle hatchlings in Costa Rica, visiting community run elephant orphanages or waiting to watch as hundreds of bats emerge from hiding in Madagascar’s remote mangrove systems.

Indeed, from intimate animal interactions to hands-on conservation initiatives, we curate trips with wildlife at their heart. Get in touch to start planning yours today.

At Cookson Adventures, conservation is always at the heart of our journeys.

And recently, we had the privilege of visiting Mahonia Na Dari – Guardians of the Sea in Papua New Guinea. Here, researchers are looking into how clownfish regulate their growth based on social context and stress.

Focusing on the genetic mechanisms behind these responses, this research aims to better our understanding of how species are affected by climate-related environmental changes such as coral bleaching.

We’re honoured to have witnessed these efforts first hand and look forward to supporting them as part of our conservation-focused adventures.

This past weekend, we were delighted to partner with British Polo Day as they celebrated their 10th anniversary in Abu Dhabi.

The weekend began with sunset welcome drinks at the British Ambassador’s residence, followed by a private tour of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, and concluded with a fabulous evening of polo at the prestigious Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club.

Here’s to a decade of celebrating British Polo Day.

We’ve just returned from hosting clients and partners in Dubai, sharing our vision for the future of travel at our exclusive event, held at Jumeirah Al Qasr’s pop-up, Balloons at the Palace.

During an evening with spectacular sunset views over the iconic Burj Al Arab, we looked ahead to our top travel experiences for 2025 – from transformative wellness in Arctic Norway to immersive experiences in Egypt, complete with actors and tailored storylines in ancient temples after dark.

We also reflected on 15 years of travel with Cookson Adventures, showcasing some of our incredible films from our journeys. To all those who have supported our journey, we thank you. The best is yet to come.

Celebrating 50 years of exploration, Legend continues her journey around the world. Rebuilt by ICON Yachts, she is uniquely suited for expedition specialists, Cookson Adventures, to craft extraordinary experiences in some of the world’s most extreme environments – pictured is an expedition to Antarctica in 2019.

With a fully certified commercial helipad, Legend serves as a base for scenic flights over towering icebergs and trips to areas otherwise-inaccessible by tender. Originally built as a Soviet icebreaker, she’s a true "go anywhere" yacht, capable of navigating the harshest polar conditions.

After a day of exploration, guests can retreat to her lavish amenities: unwind in the Balinese spa, enjoy a film in the cinema, or relax with a drink at the whisky bar.

The perfect blend of adventure and luxury, Legend allows guests to explore the far corners of the world without sacrificing any of life’s finer pleasures.

Whether redefining luxury or pushing you to your limits, our bespoke camps insert you right in the heart of a remote destination – way beyond traditional infrastructure.

That means our guests can enjoy privileged access to the world’s most remote locations. That could be a night beneath Socotra’s dragon blood trees, looking out over Arctic Norway’s islands from a cliffside portaledge camp or enjoying fine dining and wine pairings in the Cambodian jungle.

However, for a true test of endurance, there’s kite-skiing to an expedition camp in the Canadian High Arctic, while – in Kenya – our fly camps immerse guests into the sights and sounds of the bush.

Wherever you are, our one-of-a-kind camps are exclusive to you, meaning they can be customised to your exact wants and needs. And, by their very nature, these remote retreats offer unparalleled privacy hidden away in the natural world.

With the Solar Maximum underway, the next few months promise the most frequent and dazzling displays of the aurora in over a decade.

Here are our favourite ways to experience them:

By plane – we’ve seen guests chase the Northern Lights across vast Arctic landscapes before touching down in remote wilderness for the best views, far from any light pollution.

Aurora domes – entirely custom built, our Icelandic camp was set against the backdrop of a vast glacier, showcasing the aurora with glass-roofed igloos. Guests warmed up with the sauna, before enjoying a natural plunge pool and ice bar.

Remote lodge – accessible only by helicopter, this remote lodge immerses guests into Alaska’s wilderness with private-chef indulgence and panoramic observation platforms.

Lávvu camp – traditional to northern Europe’s Sámi people, we’ve set up Lávvu-style tents for guests to channel their inner explorer in a specially picked location based on the aurora’s forecast.

Other adventures – Have an idea in mind? Whether you want to chase the Northern Lights by yacht, snowmobile or off-road vehicle – we can make it happen.

Looking back on our 2019 trip to the South Pole.

Our guests entered into the record books in style, securing the first ever private buyout of an exclusive luxury camp and chartering a flight down to Earth’s southernmost point.

There’s also plenty more adventure fun to be had, from ice tunnels and ice climbing to fat biking and visiting giant Emperor penguin colonies. Numbering in the tens of thousands, these city-like gatherings are among the planet’s most remarkable yet rarely seen wildlife events.

What’s more, we have rare last-minute availability for this Christmas. Contact us to begin your journey.

Yachts are the ultimate way to access remote destinations. From untouched islands to icy frontiers, they unlock experiences that few will ever encounter.

We’ve taken our clients jet skiing through secluded atolls in the Pacific, cruising alongside breaching humpback whales off the coast of Baja California, and navigating the wildlife-rich waters of the Galápagos. In Norway, we explored fjords and cascading waterfalls, and in Antarctica, we took to the sky with helicopters and dived down to the depths in submersibles.

That’s all before returning to luxury back on board, with hot tubs, gourmet dining, and toys ready to explore the waters around you.

Here’s a few of our alternative safaris.

Madagascar – paddle through ancient mangroves and spot lemurs hopping between branches in spiny forests.

Canada’s Great Bear Rainforest – sail out to sheltered bays to witness feeding humpbacks, framed by towering cedars and mist-laden mountains.

South America’s Pantanal – ride horses through wetlands where you’ll find capybaras grazing near the water's edge and dwarf caimans camouflaged along the riverbanks.

Baja California – termed the “world’s aquarium” by Jacques Costeau, sailing through Mexico’s Sea of Cortez rewards with incredible marine life encounters – including with playful sea lions.

The Congo Basin – trek through dense rainforest to spend time with gorillas for one of the planet’s most intimate wildlife experiences.

These journeys offer an unparalleled look at nature’s marvels, uncovering wildlife moments few are privileged to see.
