Ellesmere is a holiday home that has been in the family for more than 50 years and has provided us with lots of happy memories. It has been renovated in recent years, including a fitted kitchen. We have added a wet room - perfect for showering the sand off from the beach. The back garden has been landscaped and the lawn has been re-turfed. The paving in the front of the house has also been chang

ed, with slate coloured blocks to create an authentic Welsh flavour. New Quay is a small seaside village and a great place to relax with restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs all within a five-minute walk. Some of these are seasonal - opening in March through to October, but this varies, and some are open throughout the year. I suggest you phone or look at their websites for more details. There are two beaches, a marina, a sailing school, lots of cliff-top walks and many resident bottle-nosed dolphins. The village partly inspired the radio play Under Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas and has been visited by Hollywood stars from Richard Burton to Keira Knightley.
