MEGÈVE.

MORZINE.

FLAINE.
Flaine is one of the most popular ski areas in the Alps and it’s easy to see why. It’s one of the closest resorts to Geneva airport with a 1hr 20min transfer. The Waldhof hits the mark when it comes to facilities. First up is a relaxing wellness area, where you can swim, soak in a hot tub or stretch out in a sauna. Next, you've got two separate play areas for the kids. For the tots, there's one with a ball pit and climbing tower, while older ones and teens have a room with computer consoles. And sticking with the games theme, there's also another room with classics like table football and pool.

As for looks, the whole place has an alpine-meets-modern feel, with lots of light tones and plenty of natural wood. There's a mix of rooms for up to five people, which are split between the main building and a separate annexe – and as an extra perk, each one comes with a balcony too.

Ski Baqueira in the Spanish Pyrenees

The ski area is divided into three distinct areas, Baqueira 1500m, Beret 1850m and Bonaigua 2070m, with the base station in Baqueira. There are three bases to choose from beneath the 160km of linked slopes.
We’d recommended Baqueira as it is the largest, has the best choice of bars and restaurants and is located right in the heart of the ski area.

The slopes mostly suit intermediates, but there are some good beginner zones, most notably on the Bosque plateau above Baqueira and on the edge of Beret. More advanced skiers and boarders should not turn away however, as on a powder day the upper bowls of the resort offer terrain to rival the big hitters in the Alps.

Beginners will enjoy learning to ski on the fantastic nursery slopes just above Baqueira before advancing on to the more challenging blues. Beret also has some great nursery slopes which can be easily reached by chair lift from Baqueira.

Baqueira is perfect for families as it has a number of kids clubs and ski schools. The Beret section of the resort best caters for families and beginners as it offers the most services such as childcare, child and beginner friendly slopes, sleighs and snowparks.

La Rocheure is a traditional old Val d’Isère farmhouse, with a complete and beautiful renovation it retains its original charm by the use of local wood and stone, with sections dating back to the 17th century, but also offers a modern and stylish home-from-home.

Chalet La Rocheure (a former farmhouse) in Val d'Isere is a newly renovated, fantastic property that has retained its original aesthetic quality. The chalet has five en-suite, twin rooms all of which have been designed and furnished in a luxurious and stylish manner. The open plan living and dining room particularly stands out with its high wooden beamed ceilings and large windows affording guests with outstanding views of the Solaise mountain and the whole of Val d'Isere.
