There are three external sun terraces, all with outside furniture and large Sun umbrellas, two of which have glorious views over Psaltos Bay, and the third more private and sheltered. The lit BBQ area is one of the most used parts of the Villa, where many BBQ evenings commence, on the large Weber, enjoyed by all. This is very much a second home, both of us having spent many years in and around Lindos, we are therefore constantly aiming to ensure that it is furnished with the very best quality furniture and furnishings, in a bid to provide the best facility that you could wish to find, in Villa Lindos Spa. The modern, stylish living area of Villa Lindos, incorporates beautiful Italian leather furniture, Greek throws, ornamental fireplace, large 46” LED Smart TV. full NOVA Sports package TV, DVD Player, BOSE sound dock, Hi Speed Wifi and Landline telephone, so people can stay in touch, Subtle lighting and classic Greek ornaments. If it’s music that you want, bring your iPod, and use the sound dock, or listen to it in the whirlpool bath. Inside

The villa itself benefits from 3 large bedrooms, two full size bathrooms, a large, modern, fully equipped kitchen, light, airy and spacious living accommodation, with traditionally tiled floors, together with typically Greek soft furnishings and ornaments. Built over three floors to ensure that it remains cool, even during the summer months. Outside

Venture outside from the King Bedroom, to the private rear courtyard, with subtle night lighting, set into the traditional deck area, and here you will find Villa Lindos Spa, a lovely full size Hydrotherapy Spa, imported from HotSpring USA. Traditional Cretan pots and plants enhance this peaceful place, together with a scented pink Franjipani, all of which is bordered from above with flowering scented roses. No matter what time of year it is, you can soothe, and relax under the midnight sky, and gaze up into the many wonderful stars. Continue up into the rear Garden, where Cicadas will greet you from a vast range of coloured Oleanders, Cactus, shrubs and herbs, into the main gardens, which are large and fully landscaped, incorporating a wide variety of indigenous plants, Olive trees, Palms and herbs, with bouganvillas, both wild pink, and reds, cascading over the the front wall. Here you will find the private and fully maintained 8m x 4m Swimming Pool, EU depth compliant, with marble sitting steps, and tiled in reflective glass mosaics so that it shimmers in the light. It is also fenced it, so it is family safe. We always aim to provide a “Home from Home” atmosphere, and most of our guests agree, some of whom have returned year after year! Poseidon Symi-Greece island tour. Five stops, beautiful swimming spots, absolutely stunning lunch, which was eventually cleaned away by Maria the Sheep, and her Κατσίκες friends. Absolutely full, fabulous day out Symi island,Greece then back to Niriides hotel & apartments to chill, and talk …… Burgers! 👌🍔♥️♥️😂😂

We don’t suppose anyone will forget the fires of 23 in a hurry, when swathes of forest burned. Houses lost, Hotels damaged, while the resorts of Lindos & Pefkos were unscathed.
The British media full of “people running for their lives “ while totally ignoring the stellar work carried out by locals to help those who were actually affected.
Two months on, and the clear up is well underway. Power restored, replanting carried out everywhere, with watering systems installed.
Soon, the rains will come. Followed by spring, green will return.
This is Glystra beach….
Returned to what it always was…
A beautiful quiet bay.

Feeling a little adventurous??
The “Blue Fin” Aquagrand Exclusive Deluxe Resort is absolutely superb! Fish was excellent, setting is lovely, right down by the sea. Not cheap, but, entertainment, and a really great evening!!

We have some “last minute deals” from May 6, till June 3.

Must be taken up by May 4, because we’ll have to pack up the house, before returning June 3!

We then have limited availability after September 28th.

In the “close” season, we’ll be extending, and converting villa to Approved Document Part M standards.

So if you have businesses able to accommodate “wheelchair” users please let us know, so we can advise clients accordingly.

Trip for a day to Symi. We’re back here in September for 8 days staying in the magnificent Niriides hotel & apartments
Looking forward to that immensely.
Symi is such a beautiful, lovely island, and kept beautifully clean.

Mussolini’s Villa
Profitas Ileas, or Ville de Vechi, Rhodes
Commissioned in 1930’s as the Fascist’s retirement home, by Count Cesare de Vechi.
Mussolini didn’t even make it here. The designer, and latterly Governor of the Dodecanese, did actually take up residence, after the power vacuum created by the Brits booting the Nazi’s out in 41’
He lived here until 47’ till the results of the 46’ election.
Now falling to bits it gives an insisht into the lavish lifestyle, some aspired to some 90 years ago.
Painted and veneered walls, herringbone and inlaid flooring.
Huge “en-suite” bedrooms…Boudoirs, sumptuous living, and a vast kitchen ….
Together with an enormous kitchen, and store rooms.
Sad to see such an impressive building rotting though!!

Probably one of the finest, if not most expensive things we’ve done.
Ardex waterproofing system & tanking. Ardex tile adhesive, all from Germany.
Brought it over in one of my trucks.
Italian, multi facet and coloured glass mosaics.
Laid by the best tiler I know, big up to him.

Sunday Evening Philosophia!

Hard being a tourist! Not used to this. Been on a brilliant food tour . Saw these wonderful ladies making tortellini. Absolutely brilliant.

So earlier in the year, we put the final roofs onto our villas. Always a bit nerve wracking when the crane is making funny noises, with 2 tonnes on the end of it! But they did it, we did it, move on! Top bedroom ensuite, will get bigger, with a bigger walk in shower and ensuite.

We just love the sunsets over the bay of Pefki. Here is a selection, I have called Going Going Gone. All taken from Philosophia!

We have had Chris N Karen around again to take some more photos of our new external furniture, just to make things that little bit more luxurious. Getting the Skywatcher out, was a bit of a challenge, but thanks to BA we managed it! Enjoy!
