This sunset shot looks like an arid desert landscape in the Sahara Desert. Did you know this is actually just behind the centre of the Marrakech New Town, Gueliz? Take one wrong turn and you are in the middle of nowhere in the middle of a thriving city. Would you believe us if we said this is New Year’s Eve in the middle of Marrakech? Didn’t think so!

Street life in the medina IS what visiting Marrakech is all about. Don’t plan too much for your first couple of days - just immerse yourself in the medina. Get yourself lost during the day - be spontaneous, people watch - using your EYES rather than a filter. This is how memories are made! Today, Bobker - the neighbourhood security guard and his son make beautiful tables which will be in our lively Riad Dia very soon!

**DAY 1** Arrive at your Rouge hostel and enjoy the free day exploring Marrakech.

**DAY 2** From Marrakech through the length of the Atlas Mountains at a height of 2260m on the winding Tishka Pass. First stop at ancient Kasbah Ait Benhaddou bridging the mountains with the Sahara, before moving on to Ouarzazate for short visit and lunch. Overnight in Dades Gorges.

**Day 3** Onwards to Todra Gorge for sightseeing, before heading down to the Erg Chebbi sand dunes of Merzouga Berber town in Sahara Desert.

**Day 4** Breakfast, Camel Rides and return to Marrakech by night.

This is a truly beautiful story and journey. It is absolutely true that riad restoration would be impossible without the hard work of the donkeys who carry the materials down narrow alleyways and wait gently in often scorching unshaded heat.
