A timely updated statement from the Scottish Tourism Alliance (of which Hart Holidays is a member via the Scottish Destination Management Association) of the new Tourism Visitor Levy (tax) that some Local Authorities are looking to introduce, including Edinburgh.
This comes after the introduction of the Short-Term Let (STL) Licensing Scheme which we have seen result in a number of B&Bs and self catering properties deciding to no longer operate in Scotland.
We roll on in to 2025 with optimism in the wonderful nature of Scottish tourism, but booking early is definitely recommended.

We had a successful trip to Aberdeen last week for the VisitScotland 'Connect 2024', meeting international tour operators and travel agents from Europe, US and elsewhere wanting to book their Clients to Scotland. It is always good to meet existing partners and make new contacts.

The drive to Aberdeen was lovely, taking the opportunity to visit some of our hotel and guest house partners in Fife and Royal Deeside, the Cairn O'Mount road, B974 Fettercairn to Banchory, is a beautiful drive.
