Called in to replace an arcing and faulty resin join, as you can see below the before and after pictures of the join, all newly and correctly connected, as well as all functioning correctly too.

We were called back a few days later to investigate and correct another fault on the customers power and lighting, as you will also see below, terribly burned out breakers and loose connections.

The fault appeared as though there was power at the equipment but no function of it, at the main cuboard that supplied the building, there was a loose connection of the return conductor (neutral). The loose connection had heated up and melted the plastic around the terminals, causing no connection.

We re-stripped the conductors and made the new connection fully sound. Everything fully functioning and safe.

A very large lighting conversion completed at a church in Wanstead. Old style bulk heads and CAT 2 fittings removed. All connections have now been safely re-terminated and each light converted to LED, and where required, emergency units with battery back - up and Green LED indicator have been used. As always there's a much cleaner feel of the room and great saving on your energy bills!

A doctors surgery in London wished to have their old 2D light fittings (as well as emergency lighting) changed over to LED. Below you will see the amazing effect of which these new led panels create and how much it actually changes the scenery by the cleaner light that it emits.

You may also notice what we had discovered in the old fittings once they were removed from the grid ceiling. Where these lights cause such a build up of heat over the time that they are left on, you'll see how they have become so brittle with the heat and the exposed live terminals as a result from the degrading plastic. You can also see that there is insulation tape and copper holding some of the lamps in, this is where the lights have yet again become brittle and are not making a good enough connection the hold the lights. So somebody has tried to hold it in. This can cause a fire hazard because of the loose connection and the heat that will build up!

The new LED panels are so in-keeping with the grid ceiling that you cannot really notice that they are there, but when turned on, they still fit in amazingly! There is no need to change the lamps in these new lights as they come as a whole panel, and as well as the normal added LED bonus of them not building up a great amount of heat after being left on for a large amount of time.

Client was having garden re-landscaped and wished to have power for outside lighting, a pond pump and also an irrigation system. We run in armoured cable for the outside power, due to this being the most suitable cable for outside conditions against weathering and also protection against any mechanical damage.

The glands used on the armoured cable are designed for outside conditions, specifically the water tight b**g at the base of the gland, which is tightened around the cable to protect against moisture.

To access the cable we had to remove the decking around the back of the house (As seen below) No damage required or made to the decking and relaid once job was completed.

Each socket comes with RCD protection on, meaning that if a fault were to occur that only that part of that circuit would be affected and also having the client know that they would be safely protected against that situation. Armoured cable was neatly cleated to where it entered the property and safely and correctly terminated.

The value added to one of the every jobs that we do here at M.J.Moore Electrical, leaves the client with confidence in their installation.

A council skeleton board in Tottenham with exposed live terminals, and lethal terminations. Inside the old board you can see where disconnected cables have been taped up, but were still connected at one end.

The safest solution for hazardous installation like this, was to upgrade the board to current regulations, this means that with newly done termination and duel RCD protection neatness and safety are both achieved.

Customer contacted us to say that they were worried about how hot their Low Voltage Lights were becoming and that some of them were not working. When we investigate and lowered the lights, we discovered very poor and dangerous terminations, as well as burnt transformers due to the heat build up over time, from the pictures below you can see what we had discovered.

To rectify the problem we re-terminated the connections to make them safe and neater into junction boxes and converted all the lamps to LED. The 3 main benefits being the very noticeable heat reduction given off via the LED Lamps when it comes to changing them, the much brighter and cleaner light given off, and also the energy saving cost that comes with converting to LED.
