Check out our new digital map of countryside threats!

We're delighted to launch phase one of our new interactive digital map.

Our fabulous mapping volunteer has worked tirelessly to create our map, showing locations and details of those planning applications since January 2022 where we have responded. By adjusting the layers, you can also easily see if a location is in the Green Belt and/or the Chilterns National Landscape (AONB). Later phases will add local plan allocation sites and other information.

Do check out our map and kick the tyres, go to our website at https://www.cpreherts.org.uk/countryside-threats-map

I’ve followed the Planning saga of the Headington shark since the late 80’s and then stayed there this weekend (it’s on Airbnb) 🤣
Quite a striking addition to a suburban street - and an interesting appeal decision (with one more to come).

I remember looking around the old power station… very interesting and good to see it reused!

I remember looking around the old power station… very interesting and good to see it reused!

Almost 40 years after it closed, the landmark is opening to the public as a retail and leisure site.
