I’ve been updating my 2025/26 packages and including more of my documentary images whilst rediscovering my love for black and white pictures.

I remember as a student working in a darkroom and seeing an image appear on the photographic paper in black and white. I thought it was magic! I think we forget about the black and white world when we live in such a constant of colour.

My first full day wedding of the year started on Thursday in a library in Buxton, with a reception at the crescent hotel, the carried on yesterday with an early morning open water swim, followed by a celebration at the Roman Gardens in Marple.

The groom is Andy, one of the founder members of Mentell

A nicer bloke you’ll never meet. Clare, his wife, is genuinely as lovely and devilishly funny, delivering one of the best bride speeches I’ve ever heard. You would never know that they met only 12 months ago!!!

I wish them both many happy years together.

The brilliant thing about booking a second photographer is that you get to see moments that you just wouldn’t see otherwise, like your partners reaction to a gift or a letter you’ve given them to open before your ceremony.
