We create and develop theatre and engage artists, audiences and participants alike. We create and develop theatre and engage artists, audiences and participants alike.Providing tailor-made theatre for all ages and genres, which can be taken anywhere and everywhere to entertain and enlighten all who encounter us. Theatre By Numbers was created by Charlie Mortimer and Paul Brandreth (2 engaged) crea

ting bespoke performances and workshops for schools throughout the North West, which engaged a number of other artists (5 engaged) and pupils (2,835 engaged). We then went on to work on new writing in the local area, producing theatre for the community (3,114 engaged). We then paused production while core members developed skills in directing, performing, producing and rejoined in 2011 with The Tempest undertaking a North West Tour. Since those early productions we have created work which has engaged approx 4000 artists, participants and audience members over 11 projects. Theatre By Numbers respects and supports the skills of our artists and delivers work that makes all aspects of theatre accessible and engaging, keeping the audience and participants' experience at the heart of our work. Interactive Theatre Events
These events take theatre out of the black box and out and about. So far we've performed in courtyards, parks, restaurants, pubs and woodlands. Often drawing on the audience to get involved in a fun and enjoyable way we have various shows in this category with the aim of bringing live performance to wider audiences . Theatre In Development
These are projects that are in the early stages of being created. We may be working with a writer or another company or supporting a group of people with an idea. Wherever we are on these projects we shall endeavour to keep you posted so you are first to know when they are being cast or hitting the stage. Collaborations
Theatre By Numbers are always happy to collaborate with other companies and artists of all disciplines. If you are based in the North West and have an exciting project that you feel would benefit from becoming a joint effort or that you could bring something different to one of our pieces, get in touch.

The tendency for people from higher social grades to be more likely to attend arts events is down to a mismatch between current funding priorities and the public’s taste, rather than any lack of demand, an evidence review suggests.
