Think this might just be the most beautiful shaped tree! This is the first time we have ever done any trimming, just enough to be able to stand under it and get the mower round.

Just arrived at the house - baby Elana’s first visit to her French home. Currently typing up the after school activity itinerary for the in laws who are kindly looking after my other two kids for part of the week while Ben is working. Dad has already set to work on trimming up the garden. More in that later. Always work to be done but lovely that Roy our gardener has been keeping it looking lovely in the meantime. The inside of the house look impeccable too - thank you so much to our house keeping team Emma and Marisa. Your help is so appreciated. So lovely knowing we have a great team keeping everything looking fantastic.

These two are rocking the hammock (quite literally). As a parent anything that can keep them entertained and more to the point contained for a good length of time is incredible. This combined with the paddling pool and some good old hose splashing has made for a great day.

My guilty pleasure…love nothing more then hanging out washing in the sunshine here. Even better when it’s white sheets that billow in the breeze. Plus the washing line support pole features in the ‘100 things to make with bamboo’ list! But the Best Bit of it all…clothes dry in an hour! Definitely not missing Manchester right now!

This guy is just amazing! Poppa Roberts has grafted from dawn till dusk hacking/chopping/fixing/lugging/sawing/chopping 2 years of post lockdown garden growth. The garden has still got a way to go to get back to where it was in 2019 but it’s certainly on its way. A large class of red awaits this hero. X
