A surprise birthday trip yesterday for a lovely family who took the time to express their thanks.

Hello mark,
We would just like to thank-you both for all the effort you put in to make Judy's 70th birthday so special .she loved every minute of the experience.
We feel privileged to have met two such lovely people ,who cared so much for their beautiful horses and how hard you both must have worked to get them to look so fabulous.

Booking Your Wedding Transport- Getting it Right
With enquiries coming thick and fast for 2018 we thought it worthwhile publishing some advice to help you make the right choice for your big day. There are many reputable carriage operators out there and they will be proud to provide you with the proof of their professionalism as mentioned below, so please choose wisely. Your wedding will be one of the most important events in your life and arriving in style should leave nothing to chance. Follow our tips to ensure your arrival becomes "a truly magical experience".
• Does the company offer a choice of carriages, particularly a closed option for bad weather.
• Can you make an appointment to view the carriages and horses, this will give you a feel for the level of turnout and professionalism that you can expect on the day. We will be holding open days in our new yard next year.
• How much experience does the carriage operator have, there are many hobby drivers that venture in to weddings, commercial carriage driving is a whole different field that requires experience.
• Can the company provide references and testimonials from previously satisfied clients.
• Do they provide all of the finishing touches. Our carriages are all equipped with white parasols, knee rugs,flowers, front and rear lamps.
• Is the company suitably qualified to drive carriages commercially. The qualifications for commercial carriage driving differ from standard safety assessments for pleasure driving, ask to see proof, our qualifications are displayed on our website.
• Is the company suitably qualified to transport horses to the venue. Our WATO certificate is displayed on our website.
• Is the carriage operator insured for commercial work, this is different from pleasure driving insurance or the free insurance offered to members by some organisations, ask to see proof, we carry £5million public liability insurance with a specialist insurer.
• Are the carriages regularly maintained and inspected by someone with suitable engineering qualifications and experience.
• Lastly put value above cost,you get what you pay for, a well turned out horse and carriage is never a cheap option for your wedding transport, but done well will bring a lifetime of happy memories. If you had to take a taxi to the church, would you opt for one where the driver had no licence, was uninsured and the car had no MOT, just because his fare was cheaper than a reputable taxi, I suspect not, so why take a chance with your wedding transport.

We are pleased to be launching our new Atlantic Coast Carriage Tours. Leaving from Bude Castle we will travel along the coast road with stunning sea views and rugged scenery.
