Spring is definitely on the way. It's good to see the spring flowers in bloom in Whelk Holme's garden. The beautiful male pheasant is also back - this time with a female in tow. Perhaps there will be the patter of tiny pheasant feet soon? If any guests spot any chicks, please do let me know!

I love the drama of the North Norfolk coast in winter. For one thing, it's the best time to see all the birding spectacles at Cley, Holkham and Titchwell. I particularly enjoy walking along Cromer's seafront at dusk or early evening and seeing the waves crashing high and the pier all lit up, or an afternoon stroll along empty beaches and under big skies.
