Penny Cottage is located in the heart of Fife, Scotland in the historic village of Ceres, and is a sunny, bright holiday cottage that has recently been upgraded, with a cosy new heating system and bathroom. There is a large king-size room and a neat second room with a trundle bed that can act as a double. A fully equipped kitchen with microwave and washing machine offer complete catering needs. The garden enjoys sunshine throughout the day and is completely secure - perfect for any doggie friends you might like to bring with you.
We live nearby and will usually be here meet you on arrival or the next day. We are happy to help you plan your stay, and we can also arrange food and drink packages, including local treats from meats and cheeses to baking and juices to local whisky, gin and also a range of organic, natural wines - please let us know when booking if you are interested in this.
Ceres is close to beaches, golf courses and historic places to visit like St Andrews, Falkland and the East Neuk fishing villages. There are handy local ammenities, a good bus service and beautiful countryside - perfect for walks.
Fife has a network of rural roads and so driving is fairly easy but make sure to plan your route first. There are good bus services and stations in nearby Cupar and Leuchars and also Ladybank and Markinch. There are many walks, whether you fancy the beach, the hills, a 'den' through the woods or a National Trust for Scotland gem, like Hill of Tarvit.
