Summer Holidays are now booked up in Corner House 💙if you are lucky enough to be able to take a break in late September or October then nows the time to contact to book, a lush time of year for walking and exploring the Lizard & this part of Cornwall as the sky is still blue and you get to come home to Corner House and light the woodburner for cosy evenings in the cottage.

Personally im trying to do as much preparation today as i can so tomorrow runs smoothly and im not in the kitchen all day missing all the fun. I do struggle abit with Christmas and the stress it can put on us who miss people and the pressure to buy so much, but at the heart of it it's good to gather at midwinter and eat and give and have lots of fairy lights to break up the darkness!

Frosty morning, brilliant sunlight just had to get out and take some pics! Looking forward to Christmas lights switch on tonight , fuelled by mulled wine.
Training the two roses to meet over the iconic porch of Corner House. I got my daughter to stand on the waterbutt to tie them in. I have a photo of my dear late mum holding me as a baby , sat on these steps. The porch and waterbutt were painted dark green then. I have planted new roses round the cottage to grow amongst the ones my mum planted. ❤️
Blue skies and only a little rain this week for us. Enjoyed lighting the woodburner, walking the cliff paths, Geothermal pool at Penzance,Lizard lifeboat open day and winning the pub quiz at Cadgwith Cove Inn! Just a few of the highlights, always need more than a week ! Managed some relaxation amongst the restocking and improvements to Corner House too💙

Thankyou to all the great guests that have stayed this season ❤️ . I'm now going to tidy the garden, order more logs and organise a new window, a new heater for the kitchen, get the chimney swept, and sort out a new back roof! 💙
Looking ahead to Autumn now as August comes to a close , personally I'm totally not ready for the back to school and work routine again ! Week 22nd September is available in Corner House as is October 20th ( half- term ) if you can get away 💙 .

The cottage and location are amazing! The cottage itself has everything you’ll need and is a lovely quirky place itself. The host was extremely friendly and helpful. And the location is just perfect! With the best pub, fish mongers, beaches and coastal walks right on your doorstep you really couldn’t wish for more.

We had a wonderful week at the cottage. It’s a very homely place - clean, comfortable, stylish and very well equipped. We wanted for nothing. It was so much nicer than the photos! And there were fresh flowers and a warm welcome. The village is very picturesque and the cottage is right on the coast path with beautiful walks literally on the doorstep. The locals were friendly, the pub was great, and there was a shop and post office a 10 minute walk to the next village to get groceries. We will definitely be booking another holiday here next year .

Haven’t we had some perfect Autumnal sunny days recently? Including today! There’s a slight change to our opening hours, now open 10:30-4pm. On very rainy days we may close an hour or so early, but we will update our social media in those instances. Hopefully that will not be too often between now and the end of the month 🙏🏻 ☀️
We’re still serving hot food daily including burgers, ciabattas, hot dogs and breakfast baps; with veggie + vegan options. We also have coffee, locally made gelato, homemade cake, cold drinks and smoothies for you to enjoy in front of this lovely view 🏖
