“MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR”

As we enter the festive season, we reflect on what has been our busiest year to date. We’ve been busy holiday-ing & day-tripping all over the UK & Europe and we couldn’t do it without you!

You being our wonderful customers who continuously support us throughout the years. Whether you do one tour or ten, you are all so important to us and without you all, this wouldn’t be possible so thank you, thank you, thank you!

To our amazing team of drivers, we really are like a big dysfunctional family and we’re grateful to you all for the hours you work away from your families. May 2025 continue to be a busy year for you all & thank you for what you have all done during 2024.

Our chief engineer, Paul… what a guy! Fantastic at his job with keeping our fleet in tip top condition and working all hours to keep the wheels turning! Thank you for 2024 and here’s to your brand new workshop in 2025!

The office girls, who answer the phones, book the holidays and send the confirmations plus a lot lot more, thank you!

2024 has been a very special year, 2 brand new coaches, the start of our brand new workshop & offices and busting through the £100k mark on raising money for local charities!

So from Switzerland to Devon & everywhere in between, we wish you a very Merry Christmas & a very Happy New Year to all our customers, suppliers, fellow coaching operators & to all of team Blakes!

Let’s see what 2025 has in store for us… bring it on!

❄️ “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!” ❄️

Here we have some fantastic pictures of our first Christmas tour to go away this year, with more departing tomorrow morning! It looks like they will be having a white Christmas in Switzerland! 🇨🇭

After chaining up his wheels to get up the snowy mountain, Doug safely arrived at his hotel for their Christmas holiday!

With Canterbury, the Lake District, the Isle of Wight & Blackpool all departing in the morning, we hope they all have a fantastic time, And a very Merry Christmas!

“CHARITY DAY… £100K EVENT”

Wow, wow, wow!
What can we say, yesterday had to be one of the best days in our 26 year history of Blakes Coaches.

Devon & Somerset Safe Families was our charity for 2024. They’re a fantastic organisation who help and support struggling families who need help emotionally, mentally & financially and they do an absolutely fantastic job of supporting those that really need it.
That’s why we are so happy to say that during 2024, we raised a fantastic £7350.00 for Devon & Somerset safefamiliesuk!

However, not only did we raise such a brilliant amount this year, we are extremely proud to say that over the last 20 years of fundraising for local Devon & Somerset charities, yesterday we bust through the £100,000.00 mark!
In total we have now raised £105,614.00!

We really couldn’t do any of this without our wonderful customers and it really is down to your generous donations, teddy bear sales on our Turkey & Tinsel tours, booking our Charity Day Excursions and not forgetting the big draw on the day!

Never did we think 20 years ago we would be here saying we had raised £105,614.00 for local charities, but we are so proud to say that we have!

A massive thank you to all our drivers, engineer and office team who supported the event yesterday and took the time to get involved with the day, it means a lot to us all as a family… even if you did all get messy!

A huge thank you to Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir for attending the day and for giving up your time free of charge, to perform to us all.

A final thanks must go to our industry friends, who travelled from around the country to be with us all yesterday. From Coach operators, VDL, BASE, Action Tours, CTA, UKCOA & Wrightsures, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules during the lead up to Christmas, it was amazing of you all and we’re grateful to have such amazing friends in the coaching world!

“DOUBLE TROUBLE!”

106 happy passengers are singing away at the ‘Carols at Christmas’ concert at the Royal Albert Hall, London.
Thank you to drivers Chris & Clayton for managing to get the best possible parking spots for our customers!

Christmas at Studley Castle is in full swing, with a coach load of customers having a Christmas lunch and afternoon show for the day!

Elsewhere… Germany, Blackpool, Thursford, Sinah Warren, Falmouth & Plymouth are all away with our brilliant drivers, thank you all!

A massive thank you to our fabulous friends from Heathside Travel in Dorest, for helping us out with a 4 coach private hire to Truro with Devon WI!

They may know how to operate a coach company, however we’re still very much working with them on how they construct a cream tea… more lessons needed!

In the early hours of this morning, we had the pleasure of taking the ‘Royal Devon Hospitals Charity’ trekkers to Gatwick Airport, for their Morocco Sahara Desert trek 2024!

It’s amazing to be involved with such a fantastic charity here in North Devon and we couldn’t not do our bit for them… not only did we do the Airport Transfers Free of Charge, we also sponsored them with these great looking hoodies!

We hope you all have a brilliant experience trekking over the Sahara and we’ll see you all in a week!

If you can, then please support this amazing charity. They really are a wonderful team going over and above for their local NHS!
