"Talking Sense" is a new company created in 2013 led by co-founders Nadine Beasley and Kate Taylor-Davies. Its aim is to bring visual narration to the arts predominantly through Audio Description and Voice-over. Its repertoire extends from musicals and farce to improvisational comedy and classics and previous work has included "Buried Child", "Certified Male", " One Man Two Guvnors" (National Tour
), "Hello Dolly!" as resident describers for Curve Leicester and work on "Sweet Bird of Youth" for the Young Vic Theatre. Nadine Beasley is both an active performer, voice-artist and director, whose recent work includes "Travels with My Aunt" " Entertaining Angels" and "Frozen" at the Little Theatre, Leicester for whom she is a Trustee, and Audio Description touch tours talks for Visually Impaired Patrons at Curve . She regularly holds workshops in drama and theatre practice and has written and directed pantomime. Kate Taylor-Davies is an actor, singer and voice- over artist whose recent work comprises of the short film "A Moment" which was short-listed for the Virgin Media Shorts this year, "The Memory of Water" working with Alun Armstrong and "Cymbeline" at The Swan. She holds drama workshops having worked with YESS and Creative Wellbeing and is currently recording vocals for Guntrip's upcoming "First Cut" album. As part of "Talking Sense", they are passionate about Audio Description having been avidly involved in the process since 2010. Having loved theatre and the arts since their early years they are keen to be part of a process that enables all members of society to share the same experiences. They are thrilled to be able to work with innovative theatre and by doing so to widen the scope of enjoyment for the Visually Impaired. The formation of their company "Talking Sense" marks a new journey for them creating open access to art for all.
