Here's a video from the Royal Mile in Edinburgh, before lock down was announced. With nearly no cars or pedestrians, the pipes were heard in their full glory.

Well the streets of Edinburgh are rather quiet. Before lock down we made the most of it and took some pics!

On the left is Moubray House, the oldest "hoose" on the Royal Mile. In the middle, it's John Knox's house. He was a man we perhaps don't remember as the best guy to have a party with......

Leith Gin if you need any help handing out your hand sanitizer, we have a Police box on the West End of Princes St which is sitting empty and could be used as a central distribution point. Keep up the great work!

A quiet cold windy morning the other week at Neist Point on the Isle of Skye.

Neist Point Lighthouse, designed by David Alan Stevenson, was first lit on November 1st 1909.

Since 1990, the lighthouse has been operated remotely from the Northern Lighthouse Board headquarters in Edinburgh.

When Robert the Bruce died, his heart was taken on a crusade against the Moors in Spain. It was flung against the enemy in a battle, which saw most Scots die. Bruce's heart, however, somehow made it back to Scotland and is buried here in Melrose. He was Scotland's true and authentic "Braveheart" until Mel Gibson stole the name for himself when he played William Wallace!

This is Scott's View, said to be one of Walter Scott's favourite places to sit and write. He came here so often that on the day of his funeral, the horses pulling his carriage stopped here without even being instructed to do so! The Eildon Hills and Tweed Valley look great from here!

Just back from a staff trip to Mull. Scotland has loads of standing stones dating back thousands of years, just like the ones used to travel back in time in the Outlander series! Can you spot all 4 tour guides in this pic?

We started off our Edinburgh tour on Saturday by heading up Calton Hill for these amazing views of the city! Calton Hill is dotted with seemingly Greek monuments, like the one in this photo, dedicated to Dugald Stewart. During the Enlightenment Edinburgh was known as the Athens of the North thanks to philosophers like him!

One of Scotland's more peculiar statues - the 30m high Kelpies! Kelpies are said to be mythical water horses living in our lochs! Andy Scott made these steel sculptures, bringing together Scotland's fascinating mythology and industrial past!

The Bealach na Na, meaning pass of the cattle in Gaelic was used to drive cattle from Applecross to other parts of the Highlands. Today it makes for an exciting road trip!
