Please book quickly if you are still thinking about attending a quiz in November or December. Check the attached poster for November updates.
Many of our quizzes have now sold out for these dates and we are starting to take names for waiting lists.
All December quizzes (as well as Brighton’s November quiz) will be Christmas-themed quizzes.
We have two different Christmas quizzes - please reply to this email with names of venues / locations if you are attending more than one quiz in December and would like to check that they are different.
Four of our venues will be having a quiz a week early so that we can make sure we fit in a Christmas quiz for them. These are:
- Eltham
- Battersea
- Teddington
- Walthamstow
There will be no Brighton quiz in December, so please book for November if you don’t want to miss our Brighton Christmas quiz.

This Thursday! “BERMONDSEY HISTORY” Bring Your Baby Guided London Walk!

This walk has been written and is guided by City of London guide and co-author of ‘Women from Hackney’s History’, Sue Doe.
Walk description:

- The gardens of Guy’s Hospital, which include memorials to the Old London Bridge and a famous poet.
- ‘The Leathermarket’ – a reminder of the time when a third of all leather came from Bermondsey

- The settlement which aimed to make use of women’s ‘Time and Talents’.
- Where you could legally sell stolen goods.
- The Fashion and Design Museum, and home of Zandra Rhodes.
- ...and more...

08/10/2024

Our Bring Your Baby Pub Quiz in ST ALBANS is now going twice a month, and the good news is that it’s two different days of the week, hopefully meeting the needs of those who can not make particular days.

So starting Friday November 1st we’re now also at Alban’s Well on the 1st Friday of the month as well as the 2nd Tuesday.

Friday and Tuesday quizzes will be DIFFERENT, so if you have teams to join on both days you can. This will include our Christmas quizzes, which we have already written more than one of.

Please note that the 2nd Tuesday in November has just sold out, so our available dates for the rest of the year are Friday 1st November, Friday 6th December and Tuesday 10th December. Early booking is HIGHLY recommended (especially for Christmas quizzes) as St Albans is booking up weeks in advance with long waiting lists.

How this baby was born...

Each walk has been planned so that you can stop whenever you like to feed and change - without the stress of feeling you are holding up the group. Because every participant brings their baby, patience and baby’s needs are at the forefront of each walk.

As a local historian and also a recent new mother, I noticed there was a real absence of activities for parents and carers to enjoy something stimulating for both brain and body while caring for baby.

The focus of these walks is enjoyment: gaining new local history knowledge and exploring the outdoors, while at the same time feeling unpressured when baby’s needs arise.

Everyone who comes along is welcome to stop as they need to comfort, feed and change. Either we can stop as a group, or you can use the map provided to rejoin us further along the route. There are many stops, and always lots to see and hear about, so it is always easy to catch up.
