Another busy Friday with all 3 cottages coming and going.

As you can see from the Guest review left in the Quantock hide visitors book today, that they like so many of our lovely guests really do appreciate the lengths that not just us but the whole team go to ensure that our doggy guests are made truly welcome and are much loved oh and that their human parents are also equally happy and comfortable!

Yet another staggeringly beautiful day down here on the Quantocks.

Simon and I together with our amazing team had a Busy day doing cottage changeovers but we all love getting everything Spanky and shiny for our incoming guests.

The first picture is of Greenway‘s new two person hammock which is jolly comfortable. The second picture is greenway‘s second bedroom which has a new very 12 inch mattress on. Gosh mattresses are expensive 🙈🙈 but there is nothing worse than not being able to sleep 😴 comfortably and properly.

the 3rd pic is the view from Greenway‘s outside bar and the 4th picture is the view From Coleridge‘s master bedroom and the fifth is what some of our departing guests were kind enough to write in our visitors book 🥰🥰

It was all hands 🙌 paws 🐾 and hooves 🐎 doing the cottage change overs today. The 🐶 were in charge of making sure that 🥎 ran ok in central bark.

The 🐎 were deployed as lawn mowers. Simon and the wonderful Dan got the first stage of the garden furniture out and put into the cottage gardens.

The awesome house keeping team did their usual sterling work making the cottages look sparkly and gorgeous and well I just got in the way but did do the flowers 🌷 😀😀

So we snuck off to Morocco which we love to find that with the exception of the last day driving to the airport it rained and was cold 😢

😱 bigger disaster was that it was also Ramadan and the supermarket booze shops were shut 🙈😱 we were looking at flights to come home early. Could deal with the cold and rain but not the no booze 🥃

Luckily we found the one state owned wine store that was open 😅 so stocked up massively 😀

We were super brave. We hired a car 🚘 and drove around. Mad place to drive- when not negotiating donkeys 🫏 carts sheep 🐑 you also had insane scooters who came at you from every direction even going the wrong way around the roundabouts/light/roads. But we did it and we lived to tell the tale 😀

And we even found a dog 🐶 to love over there. A lovely old chap who although a stray loved cuddles. We bought him lots of food and he was actually well looked after by the security guards who looked after the complex where we rented a house. We wanted to bring him home but we found out that you can not export a pet from Morroco to the UK 😢😢 also not sure our 2 would have been amused!

Good news coming from Scotland Zeus the super hero 🦸‍♂️ police 👮 dog 🐶 who was so brutally stabbed whilst protecting his dad is back home with his Dad and said to be doing well ♥️ these dogs are so incredible and it such an honour for Simon and I to share our home with a retired police dog who we love very deeply even though she steals most of the bed 😅

😍 I love our new dressing gowns - they are super scrumptious. They are from King Of Cotton and are their "0" twist range - very 💰️ but worth it as they are truly snuggly. It will be a slow process brining them all on line because of the cost but we are 18 in so far.

The beautiful embroidery is done by the very talented Mel from Purple Horse in Bishops Lydiard. Mel has done all of our linen embroidery which looks stunning. If you ever need to have anything embroidered just send it to Mel in the post or visit her when you come and stay and she will do it.

This 👼heavenly card and review were given to us by the lovely family who stayed in Coleridge this last week.

They had 4 woofers 3 of which were very tiny and reactive and one of which was a comited escape artist 👩‍🎨

Happily they were all able to enjoy huge off lead runs not just in their garden but in each of our 3 dog exercise fields including our Woodland Scent Zone. This in turn allowed their human parents to be able to relax and properly enjoy their break 🥰😍

We were in tears. This wonderful bespoke card arrived in the post this morning and it was from the guests who are currently staying in Coleridge.

All the pics on the card are of some of the little things/details that they ♥️ loved about the cottage and our dog exercise fields.

We love sharing this special area with like minded doggie owners and feel so blessed 😇 when not just Simon my efforts but the incredible team who help make our cottages what they are, are enjoyed by our guests both 2 and 4 legged 😀😀

Have your 🔔 This is to 🥰 Simons ex police 👮 dog having her physio today. She likes to chat with the physio - a lot 😀 she gave us a nasty scare a while back as she went very lame and a scan showed she had a “mass” in her hind leg 🦵 muscle. We had the ghastly wait while tests were done. Luckily not cancer but a tear and bleed 🩸 in muscle. So lots of physio and laser treatment and she is getting better ❤️‍🩹 but it has aged her and us 😅

BIRTHDAY 🎁ANNIVERSARY🎈Do you have a big birthday or an anniversary coming up? Fancy a beach gallop on New Years Day? Well saddle up and get ready to blow those cobwebs away! Wishing you a Happy and Prosperous New Year from Simon, Me, Murphy (my brown horse) and Mikey (Simon's not very clean white horse) and our 2 GSD girls.

You need your sound in for this. A very special and humbling time at the War Memorial just up above the cottages, this morning at 11am.

I love this video of one of our smallest four legged guests enjoying mini barks agility course. But one obviously can’t tell him that he is only tiny because in his mind he is as big as a lion and apparently rules the household including two German Shepherds and a spaniel 😄😄

A truly magical autumn day on the stunning Quantock Hills just above the cottages. If you want peace, Beauty and Tranquility to soothe the soul there really is no better place than Somerset 💕

Check this out. This herd of 29 deer and 1 big stag were JUST on the other side of our 6ft fenced woodland doggie play area. I took our 2 doggos up for an evening walk and was trying to catch the light dappling on the trees when a movement to my left caught my eye - it was this herd. So lovely to be able to be so up close with nature. 😍

Does your woofers like to run free & play but maybe don't have the best recall? 😅 Don't worry we have 3 x 6ft fenced secure fields including a 2 acre wood for them to run and have fun and mini bark and the Woodland Scent Zone also have agility courses.
