Stromboli ~ thrilling adventures on our Aeolian Adventures holidays whether that be our all-inclusive culinary holidays or tailor-made family fun. Our trip to Stromboli is a firm favourite ~ where we stop off on route for sea swimming in sparkling turquoise waters, visit the town of Stromboli then back onto the boat where our Captain Felice cooks dinner before we circumnavigate the island to see the night time eruptions feom the volcano.

Our gastronomic adventures in Sicily take us from beautiful baroque Catania to Mount Etna and on to the Aeolian Islands an area of outstanding natural beauty ~ where we’ll be cooking with the locals ~ out to sea with the fishermen ~ island hopping and sea swimming by private boat ~ visiting vineyards and local producers ~ exploring volcanoes ~ It really couldn't be anymore fabulous ~

Salina Island ~ the bay of Pollara ~ where the fishermens houses are carved into the rock ~ the drammatic bay was formed by a sunken crater ~ a popoular swimming location ~ it's a bit of a hike down from the village of Pollara otherwise it's best reached by boat ~ with holidays

Stromboli Island today ~ it's not a tropical climate but I'm surrounded by gorgeous lush green gardens the setting for our May 2025 Art Retreat ~ where we will be collaborating with three accomplished artists ~ one sculptor and two painters .london1 & .mygarden on location around Stromboli (a live and active volcano) & Salina ~ it couldn't be anymore fabulous! The Capotaormina Hotel ~ it's location is unrivalled ~ perched on a rocky promontory below Taormina town its gorgeous secluded bay has iconic views over Isola Bella and on the opposite side there is an infinity pool with views over the bay of Toarmina and magnificent Mount Etna. I'm here for a couple of days to collect myself after a long journey. Tomorrow I'll be returning to the Aeolian Islands.

Vulcano Island ~ exploring volcanoes ~ with expert guide ~ climb to the summit of the Gran Cratere where the wind carries the scent of sulphurous smoking fumeroles ~ the world pauses ~ the sky meets the sea and the stunning natural beauty of the Aeolian Islands is laid out before you. Living there, most mornings I would cycle to the foot of rhe volcano to catch the sunrise ~ I'd often be alone which is magical
