At Seaford & District we have a range of modern low floor and standard buses available for contracts and general private hire - ideal if you have large numbers to move. As well as local bus services and home to school transport, we undertake regular Park & Ride and Rail Replacement contracted services, working with a number of local partners.

We are sorry to advise that due to an issue with the bus entrance doors our service 267 to Heathfield College is running approximately 25 minutes late.

Service 269 is running late as the vehicle has broken down and a replacement one has just arrived so it is running 20 minutes late. Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Unfortunately due to staff sickness we are unable to run service 266 this morning, however 267, 269, and 268 should be able to pick everyone up. Please get on any bus that comes first. Failing that, the first bus that gets to Heathfield Community College will come back and do a second run from Horam.

Hi all, as you may be aware Chailey School is opening 1 hour later tomorrow (Friday 27th September 2024) please note that we will be running our 149 and 150 service 1 hour later than the scheduled times.

Based at our Lower Dicker depot close to Hailsham, we are now recruiting for additional fully qualified part time PCV driver's, duties will include some weekday evenings or early mornings and also various weekends covering pre planned Rail Replacement work, additionally there will also be opportunities to work on covering morning and afternoon school journeys as well as private hires to various local venues, pay rates are
Mon-Fri £15.50ph
Sat £16.50ph
Sun £17.50ph.
We also offer enhanced rates for emergency Rail Replacement work Monday to Sunday, £16.50ph-£18.50ph + £30.00 call out for each job.
Any duty covered regardless of duty time has a guaranteed minimum payment of 6 hours, (even if you only work 2 or 3 hours), any duty longer than 6 hours is paid at the relevant hourly rate.
Applicants must hold a valid PCV licence category D and an up to date drivers CPC qualification.

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract
Pay: £15.50-£17.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week

Schedule:
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Night shift
Overtime
Weekend availability

Experience:
Driving: 2 years (preferred)
Bus driving: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
PCV licence (required)
CPC (required)

*URGENT!* LAST MINUTE ROAD CLOSURE HEATHFIELD! Unfortunately, Hailsham Road is shut until 4pm tomorrow (could be earlier but we will let you know if it opens earlier) The buses will be following the diversion which is in green (red is where the road is shut). The diversion to school is the regular route until Ghyll Road. Turn left into Ghyll Road which will turn into Sheepsetting Lane. At the end of the road we will turn right to join A267 (Little London Road) then take the first right turn onto Pages Hill. At the end of the road we will turn right onto A265 (High Street, Heathfield) to rejoin the route. The stops that we will be unable to serve are - The Tavern, Holy Drive and Sandy Cross.
