It's amazing just how much Family History you can glean from a Last Will & Testament. From the 25 page will of John Ouchterlony I found he adored his Grandmother, was to be buried with her, had 3 Sisters (all named together with their married names) and a very special Aunt. Oh yes, He also came across as a very kind loving human being.

Update on the WW1 medals. What a wonderful end to the search for the descendants of the Soldier Killed in Action. Having the information of our hero I proceeded to build a family tree for him. How amazing it was to discover that Cousin's friend is the rightful keeper of the medals. His Gt. Gt. Grandmother was the sister of the said Soldier. What joy has been brought to the family.

I'm sure my Cousin thinks I have a magic wand but I shall give this my best shot as it's very important for someone she knows to return some WW1 medals to the descendants of a fallen soldier. This is day 2 of my search x Wish me luck, I'll keep you updated.
