🇹🇷Where have I been for the past week??🇹🇷

I was in Turkey and it was so very very hot, stayed in the same resort last year at the same time and it wasn't as scorchio as this time !!!

Here is a very short review of my stay.👍

I stayed at the 5* Sherwood Exclusive Resort in Lara beach on an all inclusive basis.😟

Last year stayed at the 5* Lara Barut Collection that truly was 5*, this was not.
Our expectations weren't quite as high as the cost was slightly less than last year.

Check in was fine, however our room wasn't, there was an empty water bottle under the bed and it didn't feel clean. We moved!
Staff very apologetic and left wine and fruit in the new room, much better but still not 5* standard in my opinion. Bedding not brilliant white and towels were quite old....
Food hit and miss. Personally I do not eat very much when I am away, other people seemed to fill their plates so I guess it was okay.
Great chicken wraps near the pool bar though and kebabs too. Also a lovely area in the garden that was doing assorted flatbreads, very good indeed.
Turkish a la carte, we left without finishing our meal.

Pool towels have seen better days.

Pools were good fun however did not use the aquapark at the front of the hotel.

Its got quite an old feel around the whole hotel.

That said we received some fantastic service, especially from the chicken man by the pool bar, the waitresses on the lobby level breezes bar and also the lady in the adults only restaurant who was absolutely brilliant and could not do enough for us. David the entertainer kept us amused all week with great darts games! Yes I love darts!

The people made it for us without a doubt so thank you to them so still had a great time 🤩.

In summary would I recommend this hotel? No not for us, certainly not a 5* or even 4.5*
