Last minute holidays are wickedly fun. ☀️🌴✈️

There’s nothing much more exhilarating than the words ‘shall we just go? In two weeks?’ but there are a couple of things to keep in mind.

If your top choice hotel isn’t available, a destination expert will be able to tell you somewhere else they think you’ll love. No need for FOMO and no need for 30 tabs of reviews to be open - this is where a real travel expert (like the Fleewinter team) comes into their own.

🍜 In Vietnam and Cambodia, it’s currently the perfect time to visit. The weather is excellent throughout the country (and the food stays pho-nomenal, regardless of month!)

🤿 Think bright sunny days, warm clear sea with ideal visibility for snorkelling and diving in the Maldives - and almost zero chance of rain. Carly is still seeing some good availability and if you’re flexible about your island, there are great options to look at.

🏖️ We make sure to stay in close contact with our partners. As a result, even in Sri Lanka (currently in high season) Carly & Steffi know a few beachfront villas that still have availability…

🍷 Madeira gets year-round sunshine, has stunning natural beauty with lush forests and dramatic coastlines. This ‘miniature Eden’ is only a four hour direct flight from the UK and offers something for everyone.

🐪 Dahabeyas remain one of the best ways to see Egypt’s sights, in our opinion! These are small, intimate sailboats, which are perfect for avoiding the crowds and offering a truly authentic way to see Egypt.

Sometimes being on the water in Greece just does its thing and helps you slow down. ⁠
The sailing slows as the wind direction changes. The menu changes as a Dorado nips your line, and a surprise pod of dolphins means all plans go out the window, to watch them play in the waves.⁠
As someone who loves organisation, sailing has taught me to sometimes let all the plans go awry!⁠

I had forgotten to slow down, even when travelling! I have learnt to embrace the 'Latino' pace when I am visiting Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, and reconnect with humans, wildlife and nature. ⁠
There is nothing more fulfilling and natural in pausing and watch the world go by. It is in moments like this that I have had the best experiences, met the most extraordinary people, and that stick in my memory.⁠
