We are Julie & Mike and we love to travel now that our kids have grown up. We're on a mission to have fun travelling to far away places, as well as working hard to arrange fabulous and affordable luxury holidays for our clients. We're a bit different from your usual UK based travel agents, as we actually live in the Canary Islands! We have a UK registered company and are part of the Midcounties Co

-operative Travel Consortium, so you can be assured that our luxury holidays are ABTA and ATOL protected, we're also supported by a fabulous UK based admin team as part of the Your Holiday Booking brand. Because we work for ourselves, we are not tied to any one supplier or tour operator, we work hard to establish relationships with the best companies, those that go the extra mile and understand the importance of the little details. Your special requests matter to us, we want to know what makes the perfect holiday for you. We also have flexible working hours, so you can contact us during the evening or at weekends as well as during the day. Booking with us is the same as using a travel agency on your local high street, it's just that we don't have the expense of running and staffing a shop, and as we don't have high overheads, we are rarely beaten on price. Our 3rd Virgin Voyage: Dominican Daze is a 5 night itinerary from Miami with 2 ports of call: Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic & Bimini for a day at the beach club. We sailed 25-30 Oct 2024 which was also classed as a Halloween Voyage, no kids, just treats!

It was interesting to sail out from Miami compared to Barcelona / Athens in the Med. These shorter cruises have a more relaxed vibe due to having more days at sea which allowed us to enjoy the facilities and entertainment onboard. The fitness classes are fantastic, from HIIT workouts, Zumba, swing bungee, 90's boy band workout, yoga, spin classes, a running track and a fabulous gym there was no excuse for not working up a sweat. As always, the food was amazing, not a buffet in sight! Just loads of speciality restaurants, serving super food. We met some fascinating people, mainly Americans, and enjoyed their company and sense of humour. As you can imagine the entertainment on Virgin Ships is exceptional, and we loved every show we attended, and we had a blast on Scarlet Night. This time we were able to enjoy a Rockstar suite, which brings lots of privileges, including a fully stocked bar in our suite and access to Richard's Rooftop, where the Champagne flows.

We decided to stay at The Victoria Park Hotel in Fort Lauderdale for our 2 night pre cruise stay. It's a classic low rise aparthotel situated in a residential area just off Sunrise Boulevard with free car parking in the street. Our focus was a day of outlet shopping at Sawgrass Mills, there's 350 stores at this location! We dined at The Food Republic on our first evening, had breakfast at The Modern Rose and take out Pizza from Big Louie's during our stay, all of which are within a 3 minute walk from the hotel.

On our recent travels we enjoyed an overnight in Madrid. Our preferred hotel is the CoolRooms Palacio de Atocha, we stayed in a Junior Suite on this visit (room 02) which was so spacious and comfortable. This hotel has an amazing swimming pool with a moving floor that rises up out of the water to completely hide the pool and extend their terrace area! We just had enough time for a beer and tapas at lunch, a pre dinner drink of gin & tonic at a tiny new bar called Hemingway (expanded from their venue in Barcelona) followed by a walk through Plaza Mayor and a tasting menu at Metro Bistro.

Camel Travel are a UK travel agency based in The Canary Islands. Weโ€™ve been on the islands for nearly two decades, so nobody knows more about The Canaries than us! We offer the services of a UK high street travel agency, we just choose to live in paradise.

As youโ€™d expect, we specialise in The Canary Islands, but we also travel extensively throughout the United States, so we know that better than most agents. But of course, as fully fledged ABTA members, we can book your holidays, flights and cruises anywhere in the world.

We work with all the accommodation providers, cruise lines and airlines and we are agents for tour operators like Jet2holidays and Tui. Reserve your holiday packages through us rather than direct online. We offer ease of booking, save you time and you can book with confidence knowing you have our support and personal travel service. Our main office is in the islands, but our administration office is in the UK through which we enjoy being part of the Midcounties Co-operative Travel Consortium, so you can be assured that holidays we sell are safe and protected. Weโ€™re also supported by a fabulous UK based admin team as part of the Your Holiday Booking brand.

Our Canary Islands office is in Haria, a little village in the north of the island in the โ€œvalley of a thousand palms.โ€ And from here we also run Lanzarote Information, the best and biggest website relating to Lanzarote. Because we are independent agents, we are not tied to any one supplier or tour operator, we work hard to establish relationships with the best companies, those that go the extra mile and understand the importance of the little details. Your special requests matter to us, we want to know what makes the perfect holiday for you. We also have flexible working hours, so you can contact us during the evening or at weekends as well as during the day.
