Dewsbury Canal Festival here this weekend - join us for fun family activities including best dressed boat, town crier, boat trips, pond dipping, stalls and much more

Saturday 26th July: Take part in Dewsbury's first 'Try'athlon - try your hand at lots of different activities including angling, wildlife spotting and crafts, or hope on a boat ride. 10am-4pm.

Sunday 27th July: Come and enjoy all the fun of a traditional canal boat festival with stalls, boat rides and a ‘boat-pull’ competition where teams try to pull a canal boat over a measured distance in the shortest possible time. The boats will be dressed up in their Sunday best, vying to win the 'Best Dressed Boat Competition' judged on the day.
