AVFAR Photography The home of creative and theatrical photography in South East London. At our core, we are a team of Performing Arts photographers, based in South East London.

A View for a Room have taken their collective 40 years of theatrical experience and crafted a range of packages to suit all budgets and organisations: from professional Performance Schools to local Amateur Theatre societies. We will work closely with your production team to create the look and feel that you wish to achieve for your show, from basic rehearsal photos to bespoke publicity material. W

e also provide a service to create classic promotional headshots to promote your cast for your theatrical production. These can either be uploaded to your company's website or printed for promotion in your theatre. Alongside our production photography, we also can provide you a bespoke series of actors headshots for use with both casting agencies and for your Spotlight entry. We will work closely with you to create the look that you wish to achieve, and provide you with high quality images for printing and uploading to the internet as you require. We have a package to suit all budgets - please browse our price lists for more details. Please Note: All of our standard headshots are approved for use by Spotlight.

It’s giveaway time!

As you may know, we’ve been updating our portfolio now that we’re focussing the business more towards Performers Headshots.

We’ve had some great work with folk with our new studio style as you can see below, and we would now like to grab some people for some outdoor shots!

We’re opening up a free 2 hour photoshoot session to the first 4 people who contact us at [email protected] who are:

1. 18 or over
2. Never been shot by us before
3. Live in SE London/Kent

Also, if you have access to a large garden, that will help but isn’t necessary.

We will prioritise any Drama Students or recent grads, so if there’s someone you know who would benefit from a freebie, please pass this on!

The results of our recent experiment into Chiroscuro and Tenebrism photography.

It's been our goal for some time to try and recreate the look and feel of the old masters in photos, and with this, I can say we've managed to get really close!

We took inspiration from the style of Caravaggio - often described as the first "photographer" painter who used extremes of light and dark to create vivid dramatic images.

Our next goal will be to try and re-create the style of Vermeer!

Well, after the false start of last summer, we are pleased to announce we are again reopening our doors for photography from 29th March!

With theatres and studios still closed, we are continuing with our signature outdoor headshot packages for those who are looking to build a starting portfolio or refresh their current look.

Obviously, we are working within the Covid safety guidelines as laid out by the government and our insurers, and we have a fully tested method of running our sessions to ensure that both you and us are kept safe.

As the end of terms loom for current performing arts students, we are ready to help you take the next step in your careers by ensuring you have the eye catching photo you need to get noticed.
