Oh would you look at that - the fairytale castle of Banff, that's really just a big expensive hotel.
So there's ghost stories about that place, but my favourite is just about the guests who get lost finding their rooms. Those poor souls...

I really thought I'd seen everything that Cornwall had to offer, but almost every little town has something to see.
Was wonderful to go out exploring with my dad. If only we could've had a good pub lunch to top it off.

The imaginatively named Rocky Valley. Another sneaky highlight of Cornwall I had never seen, complete with brave local teen-agers attempting some DIY canyoning.
I'm really glad I left Cornwall, as it makes it so much more special whenever I go back.
In other news, my flight is in four days, and I have never been more anxious.

Visiting the homeland before the next big move.
Have to admit that the anxiety has been building for this trip, with all the usual visa stress, and the extra helping of covid on top, it's a challenge. But one step at a time, and it'll all be worth when I get there.
