Our penthouse apartment occupies two levels, with three bedrooms on the lower level and an open plan kitchen and living area occupying the top level. The upper floor has access to a stunning terrace which features fabulous views and a private swirling plunge pool with built-in seating (approximately 4.5m x 2.5m). The dining area seats six and there is a WC with handbasin and vanity unit just off the living area. Bedroom 1 - kingsize bed, with en-suite shower room. Balcony with sea views. Bedroom 2 - kingsize bed. Bedroom 3 - twin beds. Bedrooms 2 + 3 share a shower room on this level.

We have just returned from a 3 week stay at Safir, what a fantastic find, definitely 5 stars from us. We have spent many years holidaying in apartments and villas with pools and Safir is up there with the best, a lovely living area and 3 very good size bedrooms all with a balcony and seating, all with air conditioning and it’s own WiFi, and tasteful decor, the master bedroom has on suite and there is a lovely main bathroom. Upstairs is a lovely open plan living area with a very well equipped kitchen, everything you need if want to cook, a lovely comfortable lounge with satellite tv and Amazon fire stick, we didn’t have the tv on but did test it and everything worked fine, the WiFi coped with all our needs. The terrace, wow, lovely views, seating area and comfortable sun beds and 3 parasols, a bbq and plunge pool, which was very welcoming and refreshing, the terrace was probably the best area for us, as we spent a lot of time out there, but it was all perfect. Bridget was I can honestly say the best host we have ever had, helping us with things like restaurants and all kinds of information about many things including arranging our airport transfers with Volume travel, they even stopped on the way to the airport to buy us an ice cream, thank you again Bridget, you made our stay in Kalkan perfect, Stewart and Jayne.

We’ve just returned from the most wonderful week at SAFIR. What an absolute gem of a place, just a stone’s throw from the gorgeous old town of Kalkan. From the minute we arrived, SAFIR felt like home. It’s wonderfully spacious, spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and brilliantly equipped with everything you could possibly need. The welcome pack was a lovely touch too!

The bedrooms offer more than enough space, each one equipped not only with comfortable beds, a dressing table and plenty of storage for clothing/belongings, but also a private balcony with sea views! The kitchen/living area is also perfect, with a huge sofa and lots of space for everyone to relax. But the real jewel in the crown of SAFIR is the amazing terrace with stunning views of the beautiful Kalkan bay and mountains. There are several sun beds, two comfy seating areas and the perfect-sized plunge pool. Our two boys absolutely loved the pool, and it was just the right depth that they could play safely while we sunbathed close by. We couldn’t have loved SAFIR more!!

Bridget went above and beyond to ensure our week was as easy and stress-free as possible, organising (very nice!) private transfers with kids’ car seats, offering advice and recommendations for eating/shopping etc. and even booking meals on our behalf. The lady is very well connected in Kalkan!!

Speaking of Kalkan itself, we fell in love with it! The little cobbled streets, the buzzy atmosphere, the incredible restaurants, the brilliant bars, the gorgeous boutiques, the wonderfully friendly people, the stunning views across the bay… even the stray dogs (looked after by a local charity) stole our hearts. It’s such a special little place. You can easily walk from SAFIR into town, but it’s also really easy to grab a cab home (handy on the way back as it is quite hilly!).

There are so many bars and restaurants to choose from but our top recommendations are: Zest Beach Club (for days spent in indulgent laidback luxury, snorkelling, relaxing and swimming), Kök (for the views and delicious fine dining), Baharat (for amazing steak cooked with such theatre!), Seaport (for the setting and incredible service), Merkez (for people watching, cocktails and milkshakes) and The Doy Doy (for friendly welcome and great food).

Thank you Bridget for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home and introducing us to the magic of Kalkan. We will definitely be back!! ❤️

‘Well what can I say, Safir is hands down one of the most fantastic places we have ever stayed. The absolutely gorgeous terrace with stunning views was amazing to wake up to everyday. With 4 sunbeds and a lovely plunge pool we could have easily stayed out there forever.
Inside was equally gorgeous with 3 big rooms each with their own balcony and air conditioning beautifully made up on arrival we really felt like we were in 5 star luxury. The kitchen had everything you could ask for and the lounge and TV were great for the kids when they wanted 5 minutes out of the sun, not forgetting WIFI which our children can apparently not live without.
Bridget left a very helpful guide to all things Safir and Kalkan with some fantastic recommendations for things to do and restaurants to try. It you wanted a bit of advice Bridget was always on the end of what’s app to help and guide along the way. She really is a 5 star host who goes above and beyond.
Kalkan itself is lovely with a beautiful harbour lovely restaurants, shops and a small beach. There are loads of trips available. We took a trip to Meis a Greek island about 20 minutes across the water and from there a trip to swim in the blue cave- absolutely stunning.
As animal lovers we also loved all of the towns stray cats and dogs who are so well looked after both by the town and charities. The dogs really are the most placid friendly dogs we have ever met.
We had the most fantastic time here and we will definitely come back to Safir. If you are thinking of booking do it otherwise you may miss out on the most fantastic holiday.’

We’ve just received a fabulous review from our last guests, Donna & Family:

We had a fantastic holiday staying at Safir as a family of 4. The location was perfect to be able to walk to the nearby shops and also into the old town and marina. Even walking back up was a gentle stroll. No need for taxis… although we did use one on a particularly hot day!!
The kitchen was really well equipped and the dishwasher and washing machine were great. Both did nice quick washes- perfect for a holiday. The pool area is spacious and has amazing views over to the bay. We enjoyed daytimes swimming and sunbathing and evening drinks looking at the view.
It was great to have the fire stick because we were able to watch the international rugby and football games that we wanted to watch- and my daughter was pleased to keep up to date with love island!
Having towels supplied for both the pool area and the beach meant we didn’t need to worry about taking bulky towels in our luggage.
We would definitely recommend Safir and hope to stay again in the future!

🌞Our 2nd guests of the season have written us a fabulous review and we are absolutely delighted and can’t thank them enough:

We have just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at Safir.
Bridget has been amazing and has kept in touch and given us great advice from start to finish.
We love Kalkan and Safir is a perfect apartment to enjoy it from, it’s ideally situated and an easy walk into town, although we always got a taxi home as it was so hot.
Everything you could possibly need is provided, from a lovely welcome pack to a fully equipped kitchen. However, the absolute best thing about Safir is the amazing terrace with a lovely pool. We loved it and spent almost everyday relaxing there, especially as we were there when the temperatures reached 45 degrees🥵
The terrace is ideal and has plenty of shade with a lovely seating area which we particularly enjoyed in the evening.
Bridget also provided lots of helpful information about bars, restaurants and trips, even though we’ve been to Kalkan many times part of its charm is finding great new places to eat and things to do.

Thank you very much Bridget, we can’t wait to stay at Safir next year.

We have just had an amazing 9 days in kalkan staying at the safir appartment owned by Bridget Lewis, all we can say is what an amazing appartment, from start to finish Bridget has kept in touch to make sure everything was perfect, we arrived to a lovely welcome pack, went straight out to the terrace to admire the stunning views, the appartment had everything that you could possibly want, apart from a naked butler according to my wife lol. We would not hesitate to book this appartment again as it's so central to everything, we would like to say thank you to Bridget for everything xx
