In the new year we will see the launch of Uga's latest property, Uga Halloowella, in Hatton, situated in Sri Lanka’s Pekoe trail, the world-famous tea trail region.

Set within a 252-acre tea estate, they have set to work on a complete restoration of the historical bungalow.

This new hotel will have 6 spacious suites, an infinity pool, indoor dining area, a bar and an outdoor dining terrace.

With stunning views of Castlereagh Reservoir and the glorious tea trail region.

What a fantastic few days hosting some of our UK travel partners at Castilla Termal Burgo de Osma, Castilla Termal Monasterio de Valbuena and Castilla Termal Brihuega.

Immersing ourselves in beautiful historic Spanish buildings, from a restored 16th Century university, a 12th Century monastery and an 18th Century royal cloth factory – the blend of traditional features and contemporary luxury is enchanting.

With time to relax in the wonderful thermal spas, admiring the restoration of fine artwork, sightseeing and bird watching at the Canyon del Rio Lobos National Park, Truffle Hunting with TrufaZero, biking and wine tasting at Finca Villacreces and of course enjoying the culinary Spanish delights, including what must be described as the ‘best cheesecake ever’!

This is one of the most auspicious festivals in the Hindu calendar, celebrated with much intensity and devotion across the country by all Mauritians of hindu faith. In Mauritius, Shiva devotees make a pilgrimage to Ganga Talao (Grand Bassin) a deep crater lake and Shiva temple in the southwest of the island, where they gather to worship, chant, meditate and make offerings of leaves from the sacred Bael (or Bilva) tree.
