Few islands in The Maldives offer as many options as Kuramathi, especially for families. With a great range of accommodation options, plentiful dining choices and a generous All Inclusive plan, loads of activities, watersports, a house reef with fantastic snorkelling straight from the beach, long powder sand beaches... it really is a paradise. For younger children aged 3-12 years, the complimentary Bageecha Kids Club operates through the day with a great selection of activities and events. There is an evening club too up to midnight for any time that parents want a romantic dinner alone. (Additional charge applies).
For teenagers too, the watersports and activities selection will keep them busy through the day (When they aren't posing for those perfect Instagram photos) as well as evening events such as Karaoke and Movies Under The Stars.
Some standard villas at Kuramathi will hold a family of up to 2 adults and 2 children, but for families with older children where a bit more space and privacy is needed, or for multi-generational families travelling together, the Two Bedroomed Beach Houses are perfect. Here you have two separate bedrooms with individual doors across two storeys, connected by an enclosed staircase. On each floor you will find a spacious bedroom with balcony or terrace and luxurious bathroom with outdoor shower. On each floor you will find a mini-bar and coffee machine. The Beach House can hold up to 6 people, adults or children, and are located on both the reef and lagoon side of the island. The most difficult decision is working out who gets the upstairs and who gets the downstairs bedroom!
The standard All Inclusive plan here includes all meals in your allocated buffet restaurant, soft drinks, wines by the glass, beers and branded spirits at bars across the island, non-alcoholic drinks in your mini-bar, snorkelling and windsurfing equipment (guests must pass a windsurfing competency test) plus an excursion to a neighbouring local island.
Upgrade to the A La Carte All Inclusive plan and in addition to the above, you can dine at any of the nine A La Carte restaurants across the island, subject to reservation, and selected wines by the bottle with dinner.
