ELY CHRISTMAS MARKET – Saturday 23rd November 2024
We are going to Ely for our Christmas Market this year. I have heard great things about this event, and it is centred in and around the beautiful Cathedral. Not only is Ely a wonderful City but it is much closer to home than some years and the market will be full of gifts, crafts and food and drink. This will be the ideal opportunity to start your Christmas shopping. Tickets cost just £40 per person and include entrance to the Christmas Market, return coach travel from Dunmow and festive refreshments enroute. A deposit of £20 per person will hold your place.

THE SNOWMAN - Sunday 8th December 2024 (Matinee)
A welcome return for our annual visit to see The Snowman at The Peacock Theatre on Sunday 8th December. Once again, this is a matinee performance and we will be leaving Dunmow at midday in good time for the 2.30pm start. This gives us plenty of time for toilet stops when we arrive. Every year we have a coach full of excited children with parents and grand parents and it really is a magical afternoon. Tickets cost £80 each and this includes top priced seats in the Stalls, return coach travel from Dunmow, refreshments and gifts for the children. A deposit of £40 per person will hold your places.

THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE – Saturday 8th February 2025 (Matinee)
This is our first venture into the world of Opera and I have started us off with something very light and familiar. The Pirates of Penzance contains songs we all know and love, and to see this production by the English National Opera at The London Coliseum will be a treat. This is a matinee performance and I have top priced seats in the Stalls. The price is £100 per person including the tickets, coach travel from Dunmow and refreshments enroute. WARHORSE at The New Wimbledon Theatre: Saturday 7th September 2024 (MATINEE)
This wonderful moving show is returning for a provincial tour and we are picking it up at The New Wimbledon Theatre on Saturday 7th September 2024. I have made this a matinee performance so that it will, hopefully, open it up to more people. We would be leaving Dunmow at around midday and would return by 6.30pm depending on traffic. The price for this incredible show is £100 per person. It is a little dearer than some shows, but I have gone for top priced seats in the Stalls and there are no group discounts for a Saturday matinee. These seats will make the show even more incredible and you will truly believe that there are live horses on stage. If you have not seen this show, it is both heartwarming, heartbreaking and most definitely a show not to be missed. A deposit of £50 per person will hold your places.

This is another iconic show which my children were brought up on. It is returning to The Cliffs Pavilion next year and I have top priced seats in the Stalls for the Matinee performance on Saturday 21st June 2025. I have done this so that we can all bring our children – whatever age they are they would have undoubtedly sung these songs at some stage. Tickets are priced at £90 each and include the top priced tickets and return coach travel from Dunmow. A lovely local trip for the summer - a visit to Tiptree Jam, where we will have a guided tractor tour of the Tiptree Fruit Farms to see the process from plant to pot, followed by Afternoon Tea in their Tea Rooms. You will also be able to visit their famous Jam Shop which sells everything from Jam to Gin!! This visit will be preceded by a stop at Perrywood’s Garden Centre in Kelvedon. Overnight Trip to Leicester, staying at The Hilton Leicester, to visit the KING RICHARD III VISITOR CENTRE AND CATHEDRAL: Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th October 2024
This is going to be a great trip, not only staying in a wonderful hotel, with swimming pool, but also enabling you to visit the King Richard III Visitor Centre and his tomb in Leicester Cathedral. We will be leaving Dunmow on Saturday 12th October at around 10.00am which will get us to the hotel in time for lunch. You will then have the afternoon at leisure to use the facilities or explore on your own. Dinner is included in the price. On the Sunday we will leave the hotel at around 10.00am and go to the Visitor Centre. We will have a private talk about the centre and the story of Richard III before you have free time there. You will then have time for lunch before we cross to the Cathedral where we will have a private tour before more free time and departure at 4.00pm. We should be back in Dunmow by 7.00pm on Sunday 13th October. We all thoroughly enjoyed MJ The Musical on Friday and I have some very exciting news about a new production of KINKY BOOTS for next year. Please see details of this and other availability for the coming months below:
CHARTWELL the home of Winston Churchill: Friday 3rd May 2024 – four places now available
I am so excited to offer you this visit to Chartwell, the wonderful home of Winston Churchill. Winston and Clementine Churchill bought Chartwell in 1922 and it would be their family home for the next forty years. They loved Chartwell and although Churchill was a politician and statesman he was also a husband, father, writer, painter and garden planner and the house and gardens remained important to him until his death in 1965. The rooms in the house are much as they were when he lived here, with pictures, books and personal mementoes while a special exhibition gives deeper insight into his life through 50 objects.
Chartwell’s hillside gardens reflect his love of landscape and nature. They include the lakes he created, the kitchen garden and the Marycot, a playhouse designed for his youngest daughter Mary. Beyond the gardens there is expansive woodland with looped trails and natural play areas, there is den building and a Canadian camp and opportunities to enjoy the outdoors.
The trip includes timed entrance to the house and access to the gardens and grounds. I have also included a guide book for everyone. The cost of this trip is just £65 per person, including return coach travel from Dunmow and refreshments enroute. There is a café on site but lunch is not included and is at your own expense on arrival. Full payment is now required for this trip.

I have chosen the matinee performance because I know that there will be many children who wish to come. This is a wonderful theatre, very big and there isn’t a bad seat in the place. THE LION KING – RELAXED PERFORMANCE: Sunday 30th June 2024 at 1.30pm
As last year, I am organising a very special trip to a London Show aimed at those who would appreciate what is called a RELAXED performance. I have chosen The Lion King this year on Sunday 30th June 2024. If you have learning or sensory disabilities, or care for someone who does, you’ll understand how difficult it would be to attend a regular theatre performance. Relaxed Performances provide the exact same production as a typical audience would enjoy, with an atmosphere and attitude in the auditorium that makes everyone feel safe and comfortable. The theatre offers this production at a reduced cost and Don’s have very kindly offered us a reduced coach price. I will offer my services free on this occasion. I am therefore able to offer this trip for just £60 per person. This will include top priced seats in the Royal Circle at The Lyceum Theatre, return coach travel from Dunmow and refreshments enroute. Please note that children under the age of 6 are only admitted with parental consent and those under 4 are not permitted at all. A deposit of £30 per person will hold your places and please come back to me ASAP if you would like to join us as the tickets are only on hold for a very short time. KINKY BOOTS – at Southend Cliffs Pavilion on Wednesday 4th June 2025 (Evening performance)
For those uninitiated amongst us, this is the most amazing show which was good before, but now it is starring Johannes Radebe from Strictly Come Dancing, so it should be incredible. Tickets are just £70 each and include top priced seats in the Stalls, return coach travel from Dunmow and refreshments enroute. It tells the story of a strugging shoe factory in Northampton who via a series of events end up modelling at a Fashion Show in Milan, with the help of LOLA, who is played by Johannes. The music is great and was written by Cyndi Lauper. These will go very quickly so please let me know if you would like to join us. A deposit of £40 per person will hold your places.

WARHORSE at The New Wimbledon Theatre: Saturday 7th September 2024 (MATINEE)
This wonderful moving show is returning for a provincial tour and we are picking it up at The New Wimbledon Theatre on Saturday 7th September 2024. I have made this a matinee performance so that it will, hopefully, open it up to more people. We would be leaving Dunmow at around midday and would return by 6.30pm depending on traffic. The price for this incredible show is £100 per person. It is a little dearer than some shows, but I have gone for top priced seats in the Stalls and there are no group discounts for a Saturday matinee. These seats will make the show even more incredible and you will truly believe that there are live horses on stage. If you have not seen this show, it is both heartwarming, heartbreaking and most definitely a show not to be missed. A deposit of £50 per person will hold your places.
