Cloud Nine came through yesterdays gale with out a scratch . 89 knots of wind at the yard . A couple of boats weren't so lucky and were blown over . We always take the mast down in the winter to reduce windage . We are putting her mast back up on the 26th of March launching on the 27th for the trip back to Oban and the first charter on the 5th of April

Last Sunday, Cloud Nine Yacht Charters joined Murray Macdonald and Autism on the Water to waive goodbye to the Clipper Race as they departed Oban Bay on the last race leg to Portsmouth. It was a grand sight as they paraded out of the bay followed by a flotilla of yachts, dinghies, ribs and motor cruisers! Two beautiful square riggers and a visiting cruise liner completed the spectacle. Fair winds to all!

Cloud nine has arrived back in Oban and managed to grab one of the few remaining berths at the North pier pontoons. The first of the clipper race yachts should start arriving this evening if the gentle North wind holds out.
It will be interesting to see what effect the Great Race to the west of Jura and Scarbh will have on them

Cloud Nine Yacht Charters is excited to welcome the 2024 Round the World Yacht Race to Oban!! Don't arrive too soon guys so that we can get our turnaround done at the pontoons - otherwise - it will be great to see you all!!

Cloud Nine has been up to Orkney with our current charterers, and down the East Coast for a change, heading for a passage through the beautiful Caledonian Canal.

It's been a busy time despite the awful weather, rain,gales , frost, grey skies, will the sun ever shine. Work continues on c9 the bilges have been scrubbed and cleaned thanks to Christine ready for the finale fitting of the new flooring. Our stem head roller is finally back from alterations to allow easy launching and recovery of our 32kg Delta anchor. Now fitted and working as it should. Removed the last of the worn out teak from the bathing platform ready for fixing the new flexi teak one .
