R is for REFLECTION

Last week I started to feel quite overwhelmed, a bit short of breath and I knew I was heading for burn out.

I said it out loud and I took a little break, in doing that I reflected on two big things…

🔭 I realised last night, for the first year in TEN years I am not designing, marketing products or applying for markets. (It’s no wonder I have head space to obsess over Christmas gifts before the usual 20th Dec panic.)

🏞️ Five years ago this week (thanks FB memories) I left a job I enjoyed, with a team I loved for an opportunity I thought was the big ticket. I quickly realised the grass wasn’t greener, but that move pushed me to go self employed.

👩🏼‍💻 Now looking back at where I started and how the business is growing I can seriously say I am so proud of this journey and what I am building.

You can be asked 100 times to remember where you started, how far you have come but unless you truly sit in the moment & reflect on it, I don’t think you can feel the growth.

Ours is looking like cloudy w/ puddles - sporting frizzy hair and a big jumper. I’m actually not hating it on the basis I can hunker down at my desk with a lamp on all day.
