We are Lisa & Marty, a husband and wife team based in Carrickfergus, just outside Belfast, Northern Ireland. Our photography journey started with travel, with our hobby being wildlife & landscape photography. If you visit our home you’ll instantly see how much photography means to us as it is everywhere! Our memories are on every wall, in every room.) In 2008, our friends Mike & Judith asked if we

would photograph their wedding at Belfast Castle the following April. We won’t lie – we were apprehensive, we didn’t have a clue about weddings (we were just engaged!) and we worried we wouldn’t live up to their expectations. They took a leap of faith with us and we are pleased to report we are still friends – so they can’t have been that bad! The following year we got married ourselves and we shot our first 3 weddings. And the rest as they say is history. We invested in equipment, marketing materials and did a few bridal fayres the following year. We have been consistently busy since- thanks to word of mouth and the recommendations from other amazing wedding vendors across the island of Ireland.. When we aren’t shooting weddings, you’ll find us out and about trying to tire out our kids and dogs! We both love music (ALL genres of music) and love nothing more than going to a live concert. We both enjoy paddle boarding (Lisa isn’t great at it but gives it a fair go!) We are rugby supporters and Marty supports Spurs for his sins. We really do try and keep things relaxed and easy going on the day. We always come well organised and prepared for all weather conditions with our car boot full of umbrellas, blankets, towels, heel protectors, shoe protectors, sewing kits and SAFETY PINS!! We will always get stuck in and help out when required, whether it’s putting on the brides dress, sewing a bridesmaids hem, sorting buttonholes or making tea to help settle the nerves. We want your day to run as smoothly as possible and want you to feel as comfortable as possible. We are always up for having a good laugh and putting everyone at ease, after all that’s how we get the best photos! We both have two Nikon cameras each, so can easily capture a look, a kiss or a silly moment as we’ll have the capability to capture it with the lens required already on the camera body! We don’t just shoot weddings, as we mentioned already, we love capturing wildlife (although nothing in Northern Ireland can compare to Kruger National Park in South Africa!) and landscapes around our beautiful Island. In the words of Gary Lightbody from his song I think of home -“There’s beauty north, south, east & west.” How true. We are so proud of this place we call home! This leads beautifully to photoshoots with families and couples at locations across the island. We capture memories in your back garden, your living room, your favourite beach or forest walk. There are endless possibilities and we find that so exciting! Rain on your wedding day is good luck because it signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel! We can thank Hindu traditions for this belief.

Hi! It's been a while since we have been on.

Life has been quite the rollercoaster but we are pleased to say finally that all is good in the hood and we are back and ready to roll!

We welcomed another little life into ours earlier this year and with it has come many complications, sleepless nights and recovery.

Tomorrow we'll be announcing a special offer for the remaining free dates in 2024.

We hope you're all well and hopefully our paths will cross soon!

Hello!

It's been a minute (or a month!)

We may have been quiet on here, but only because something had to give! A full summer of weddings, edits, kids & the odd day trip (and a wee holiday too!)

It's now September and we are back with a bang.

New website is underway and we have nearly caught up with all our weddings!

Our 2023 diary is filling well - March and April are now full!! March 2024 is now fully booked too.

We have missed all the craic and no doubt will be in instagram jail for sometime because we weren't posting frequently!
