Day 3 on Seabourn Ovation

We arrived in beautiful Sete in France. Gorgeous canals with river side bars restaurants and shops. We had a visit to the local indoor market where they have amazing cheese, sausage and lots of local offerings. We enjoyed a glass of local wine amongst the locals. After a walk we had a French lunch of Cambert with crusty bread and we sampled Noilly Pratt which was a local vermouth and it was delicious.

Back to the ship for a chill hour in the hot tub with champagne and cocktails before enjoying an evening in The Restaurant with a fabulous extensive menu. I opted for beef bourguignon and it was so tasty.

A couple of cocktails after dinner in the piano bar as part of Solis restaurant ended another perfect day

Rocky Mountains part 2

From Banff we embarked on the famous Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops. Our luggage was collected from our hotel and transported separately and we were collected and taken to to the station. Wd had a tour round silver leaf then shown to our seats in Gold leaf.... Jusf wow. Think business class v economy and if you can afford to treat yourselves you get enhanced food and drinks menu, seperate dining room, full glass dome and seperate outside viewing platform and around 300gnp per day difference. We were 9n the train from 7am till 830pm so definately worth it for the comfy seats.

We had the most fabulous breakfast silver service and the most spectacular scenery you could ever imagine. We see grisly bears in the wild, deers and hear some amazing stories from the Rocky team. We arrived in Kamloops which to be honest is just an overnight rest and dinner.

Next day picked up again and part 2 of our onward journey to Vancouver.

Final destination Vancouver. Alot of people will embark their Alaska cruise from Vancouver so definately worth a few days before even if you aren't doing the Rocky Mountains extension. We did the city tour which took us to Stanley Park with the totem poles, we seen the steam clock in the town centre, we did fly over Canada experience which was great. We experienced the Capilano extension bridge. Granville Island was one of my favorites with the huge food hall with street food stalls selling everything from amazing Chinese to fresh from the sea fisherman's platters.. Definately worth a visit. Sadly I had an early flight so didn't have time but my friend went on a whale watching boat and wow wow wow what an amazing experience.

Just realized I haven't posted my pictures from my last couple of holiday so here goes.

Calgary was a great experience. Canada's music city and home to the Calgary Stampede. We were made honor members and had to swear an oath?! We stayed at the Fairmont Pallister hotel which was beautiful with a great restaurant/bar and fab location 2 minutes walk from Stevens street with multiple bars and restaurants. We visited the music studios, had brunch whilst being entertained by a cowboy blues singer and had a fabulous Calgary view at the top of the tower.

Next stop was Banff... To me it's the most beautiful place iv ever been. We feasted on Poutine, seen a park full of deers after our 6am walk, ate beer tails, visited the Banff Gondola with spectacular views and a great cocktail bar, discovered the stunning Lake Louise and Moraine lake it was amazing. We stayed at the Caribou lodge and it was a great log built hotel with a pool in the basement great to chill out after a day exploring and there was also a fab restaurant on site called the Keg who offered a fabulous buffet breakfast
