We are so lucky to be so close to so many different attractions. Hastings Old Town is just a short train ride or drive from and is definitely worth visiting, whether for history or for fish and chips on the beach.

We love seeing come into their own as the Tulip come out. Tulip Festival is on from now every day to Wednesday 3rd May - tickets are £15, it is certainly worth a visit to see Chelsea Gold Medal winning Bloms Bulbs and the stunning gardens.

We loved receiving these photos from some of our regular guests who come and explore the beautiful walks East Sussex has to offer. This time they braved the 13.3 mile walk from Rye to Hastings!

Hastings is an easy drive or train ride from the cottage.

The beautiful dahlias are in full bloom at the nearby Pashley Manor Gardens. Just a 15 minute drive from Wadhurst Castle Cottage.

There is so much colour in the gardens we have called September ‘Dahlia Days and Summer Displays’.

We are open Tuesday to Saturday until the end of the month, from 10am to 5pm. Come along to see lots of dahlias, sunflowers, ricinus, cannas, cosmos, the second flowering of some of the roses and more.

Greg, our Head Gardener will be giving a couple of dahlia talks a week - the first ones are on Wednesday 8th September and Thursday 9th September. Both at 1.30pm - just come along on the day and sign up when you buy a garden ticket (no charge for the talk, just usual garden entry at £12).

The week after Greg will be giving talks on Tuesday 14th and Friday 17th September, both at 11.30am.

We will hope to see some of you in the gardens soon.
