Hello Everyone, It’s Debbs👋🏽

As you know I am currently lucky enough to be in Boa Vista in Cape Verde on a work trip 🌞

Last night we went on the Desert delight excursion, which I wanted to share with you all as it was absolutely breathtaking.

We got picked up from our hotel at 7pm and taken to the middle of the desert so we were away from light pollution (which took around 10 minutes by coach). On arrival at the Viana Club we were handed a welcome drink before listening in to a briefing on what to expect of the evening. Dinner was served here and was a buffet of traditional Cape Verdean dishes which truly was delicious 😋

After eating, we headed outside for an exhilarating view. You can see stars and planets with your naked eyes and the staff were at hand with the help of telescopes to enhance your view and explained all about the different stars, planets and constellations – it's simply amazing.

To finish off the night they then took us on a short walk a little deeper into the desert where they provided blankets for us to lie down and we spent half an hours just gazing up at the breathtaking view, while we were here we witnessed a few shooting stars which again was just fantastic. 🌠 the excursion lasted around 4 hours in total.

I can honestly say I have never seen the sky look so beautiful 🌌, I would highly recommend!
