The popularity of womens football has grown, and what a great sport to spectate.

The UEFA Womens Euro 2025 is being hosted by Swizwerland, and a customer who has booked tickets for the England Group Stage in Basel and the quarter finals in Geneva requested flights and accommodation to accompany the sporting events.

It was interesting to research the cities. Basel is situated on the Rhine River near the French and German borders. Basel’s old town is an absolutely must. You will discover picturesque alleyways and over 200 fountains. Basel has the highest density of museums and countless galleries. In the warmer months it is common to partake in bathing in the River Rhine.

Geneva is international. The European headquarters of the UN or the ICRC are located here. The city on Lake Geneva (Lac Léman) has a picturesque old town with many sights and beautiful parks. The fantastic mountain panorama around Geneva will amaze you.

Matches will take place in other cities too, Bern, Zurich, and Lucern amongst others.

Train travel is straightfoward, the Swiss railway known for being the best in Europe, punctual with a high quality of service, not to mention the scenic routes.

This sounds like the best twin centred city break with great football thrown in too.

My first travellers of 2025 are soon escaping to The Maldives. Here’s a little glance of what will greet them.

Furaveri Maldives is a tropical 23-hectare natural and un-reclaimed island situated in the exotic Raa Atoll near "Hanifaru Bay" a UNESCO biosphere reserve. My clients wanted a short pre-Christmas break and asked me to advise and recommend a great place to visit. They have been delighted with the history, culture and inspiration of Budapest.

Budapest, Hungary’s capital, is a vibrant city divided by the Danube River into the historic Buda and dynamic Pest sides. Known for its stunning architecture, thermal baths, and lively cultural scene, it offers attractions like Buda Castle, the Parliament Building, and the iconic Széchenyi Chain Bridge.

The W Hotel in Budapest is a luxury hotel located in the historic Drechsler Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It offers 151 stylish guest rooms, including 45 suites.
