Starlets Academy is entering it's 10th year and during this time I have seen hundreds of children grow and flourish in confidence. My name is Ali Burrows and I created Starlets Academy because as a young girl I loved to perform and always dreamt of being on the stage. I was blessed to have parents who encouraged my dream which enabled this working class Warrington girl to get a much sought after p
lace at The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London. I have now entered my 30th year as a professional actress having appeared in Peter Kay's Phoenix Nights as 'Michelle Coffee', Holby City, Emmerdale and most recently as 'Kathleen McQueen' in Hollyoaks to name a few. At Starlets I am passionate about our children receiving quality teaching in all aspects of the Performing Arts, building a strong foundation on which they can grow and develop under my guidance. But I never forget the mission is not only that the child grows in their ability and in their love of the arts but equally that they grow in themselves, so I ensure every session is filled with fun and laughter. My amazing colleague Laura graduated from Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre with Distinction in performance and teaching, in both dance and drama. She has also performed in shows at The Royal Liverpool Theatre, Manchester Palace Theatre and Opera House. She also is a fully qualified gymnastics coach and fully first aid trained.
