The number 1 question we get asked: are dogs allowed on our walking tour of Warwick? 🐶

The answer: Yes!

Well behaved dogs are more than welcome on our terrifying tours of Warwick. In fact they are encouraged.

Best of all? They can come along absolutely free. No need to buy a ticket for your dog, since they can't understand what we're saying, and won't be learning any history or ghost stories themselves.

(Note: photo was taken at Christmas time, actual costume will be different. We don't think it was our fault that this particular dog looked very sad.)

We have rejigged our Ghost and History Walks of Warwick for Feburary!

Daytime tours didn't look to be getting much traction, so we have instead released new dates and time back to our usual, late nights.

That means from 7:30pm, from outside The Lord Leycester Hospital, you can meet us to hear about the hauntings, crimes and legends of Warwick, on the actual spot where that history happened.

But... we are currently preparing new daytime tours to launch in 2025.

Want to be the first to try them out? Watch this space for more!

We've found alternative paradise at Red Brick Market in Digbeth, Birmingham.

Just a short trip on the train from Warwick, there's a load of independent sellers with hilarious, gothic, and vintage finds that we absolutely adore.

Actors of Warwick (and nearby) we need you!

We are looking to hire paid tour guides on a freelance basis, to help run our walking tours of Warwick all about death, ghosts and legends from history.

Our tours take place in the evening from approximately 7.30pm until 9pm, so evening availability is a must.

Ideally you'll be free most evenings, but especially Fridays and Saturdays (and Halloween!)

There is the possibility of further events and tours to be involved in as we expand, including daytime tours.

To apply, send us a message on Facebook, Instagram or send an email to [email protected] with the following:

- Age
- Location
- ANY acting experience you have (amateur, professional, school play, it's all good!)

We will then tell you the next stage of the process (spoilers: it'll be an audition of some form)

You must be aged 18+.

The longer you stay with us, the more potential to earn and grow with us too!

Know anyone who would be perfect for this?

This sounds amazing! An absolute must inside one of our favourite buildings in Warwick.

Happy 132nd birthday to the late, great JRR Tolkien, who lived in Warwick for several years.

It was here he married the love of his life, Edith Bratt, who was a few years older than him. Their love is said to have inspired Tolkien to write of Aragorn and Arwen, the human and the elf who fall in love in the Lord of the Rings.

They married at St Marys Immaculate Church in Warwick in 1916, with a blue plaque commemorating their marriage.

But Warwick is believed to have influenced Tolkien's locations in Middle Earth.

This ancient Saxon Town, once surrounded by forest, and with its medieval halls and great castle on a hill is said to have inspired much of the kingdom of Rohan, said to be reflections of the Anglo-Saxons themselves.

Could Warwick Castle even be what the great Minas Tirith of Gondor was based on? This heavily fortified castle was once surrounded by the town walls of Warwick after all!

Not just a merry Christmas, but a happy 382nd anniversary to the only Ghost Sighting is English history to be officially recognised in the national archives.

Down here in South Warwickshire, the Battle of Edge Hill took place, in October 1642. This major conflict in the English Civil War left hundreds dead.

However, it was Christmas that year when some shepherds from nearby came across a great ghostly battle taking place in the sky above Edge Hill.

The shepherds alerted the local officials who went the following day to investigate.

The officials returned, on Christmas Night 1642, and witnessed in awe as they saw the battle of edge hill take place again, amongst two great ghostly armies. They saw details including their weapons, armour, the flags they carried and even their horses.

The King himself eventually heard news of this and had his royal officers investigate and publish a report of their findings.

"A Great Wonder in Heaven" was published in January 1643, describing the ghostly sightings above Edge Hill, and it remains in the National Archive today.

For those who live near Edge Hill, it's said that on cold, dark winter nights, sounds from that battle can still be heard...

Merry Christmas all! 🎄
