Guitarist and singer Dave Gilmour is among those who have fallen for the charms of the resort, and once owned an art nouveau property there, still sometimes referred to on Rhodes as โthe Pink Floyd mansionโ. However, for families and couples seeking pleasant, flexible, affordable accommodation in an attractive area, the Eleni Apartments provide the ideal base, in a peaceful location with a stunning backdrop of rocky hills and sea views. With only a small number of rooms, you are bound to feel right at home. The apartments, renowned for friendly staff, have their own lovely pool area with a poolside bar serving food and drinks throughout the day and into the evening. The family also have a mini-market next door for any items you may need. Just a short walk away you will reach the main street of Pefkos where you have access to multiple shops, bars and local restaurants. There are several beaches to choose from in the area, and the nearest, only a five-minute walk, is the small beach of Cavos, which is popular for snorkelling and has rocky areas for relaxing as well as sunbeds. The busier main beach, Lee Beach, is 15 minutes away, while Plakia Beach is a longer, but quieter stretch. St Thomas is a lovely spot where fishing boats moor and Arkeftas is also rocky but peaceful and attractive.
