Its the Annual Duck Race in Waddington this Sunday 23rd June, with over 3000 ducks racing, a chance to win some cash. Food and other stalls as well as Maypole Dancing. Let's hope the sun is shining.

Waddington is a lovely quiet village only 5 minutes drive from Clitheroe where there are many shops, bars, restaurants and a Market.

We really are lucky to have all this on the doorstep. Here are a few ideas of how to spend a couple of days away.

There are many things to do when you come and stay in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire 🌹

🍽 A picnic by one of the many rivers is a lovely way to spend an afternoon or early evening.

🚶The stepping stones walk at Whitewell a gentle walk through local farmland and countryside side and then a bite to eat inn at Whitewell.

🚵 If you're a keen cyclists then a ride through the Forest of Bowland will be challenging, or if you want for a more gentle ride, then has plenty of routes.

👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 A day out, then a visit to Morecambe and see the famous statue a walk along the promenade and pier, and then maybe afternoon tea will finish off the day perfectly.
