Courthill Farm is an organic mixed farm based in Slindon in the South Downs National Park. As well as having beef cattle, sheep, saddleback pigs and arable fields of barley the farm also has two shepherd huts situated in a beautiful wildflower meadow now available to rent.

This time last year, we were building the outside decking area on the Shorthorn hut. We have a very talented friend who made the metal frame here on the farm and then we had to use a bit of physics and agripower to position it and add the decking.

April 2024 has been filled with lambs! Just a few pictures of . They're all out in the green fields and growing well. The awful rain and wind that dominated lambing is a distant memory!

These cheeky faces have hit 8 weeks old and today left us for a new home with where they'll have a fantastic life roaming and foraging in woodland. We were lucky enough to sample some of their produce, and its not only beautifully packaged but very tasty and made with meat from animals who have lived their absolute best life!

Throwback to Monday's glorious sunrise! The huts have an uninterupted view of the sun rising over the surrounding South Downs. There is still some availability in March.............book to enjoy a relaxing break in a cosy hut with these views and hopefully some spring weather!

The beef shorthorn herd enjoying their breakfast! They are given a new section of the field everyday together with hay and silage. All in calf and due in April!

Great to have taken part in the Big Farmland Bird Count here at Courthill Farm. A whopping 36 species of birds identified here in one viewing. Huge thanks to and for all their help. So good to be farming to allow these birds to flourish and to be able to identify them

Sheep scanning! Always a nerve-racking day! Thankfully the results are good and we are expecting just shy of 1000 lambs in the spring. Now we've just got to look after all the expectant mums!

Our two gorgeous shepherd huts are now ready and available for guests! They are totally self contained with underfloor heating, a kitchen, wc and shower room and a covered terrace outside. Both have been finished to a high standard, using British and sustainably made where ever possible.
Located on our organic farm and set amongst a wild flower meadow they have fanatstic views of the surrounding South Downs and provide the perfect place for a cosy, relaxing break at anytime of the year.
